Btw I do have to sympathize with the people in Central and South America. Regardless of who made the decision, its sad that they're still ignoring that area of the world. Maybe her album sales are high there? Still, couldnt she even do one date in Mexico City and one in Rio? Who wouldn't want to go to Brazil for a week??

I have no idea why they ignore this part of the world. I think because since 96 - it's on celine's biography - the Asian market was more interesting and they left Latin America behind.

I do not understand why she is not coming to Mexico since she has already been there for vacation.

Can all of you chill out! I went out for a couple of hours to see my grandpa at the hospital and to go to work and this went crazy.

 

 

First of all Teodora, I found your comment xenophobe, you insinuated that Brazil, Poland and Romania (yes, your own country) are not worthy to receive Céline. Those countries are not worse or better than France or USA, they are just different and should be considerated. I'm sorry if you felt offended, but I also did.

 

Second, about the Portuguese and Spanish concerts. They were 99% confirmed. They were part of the inicial plan and about 4 weeks ago there was 99% certain that she would come. Worldticketshop.com had the concert listed. I contacted them and I was informed that one of Céline's promoter gave that info so the concert was 99% confirmed. About 2 weeks ago I was informed that were some issues concerning the concerts at Portugal, Spain and Russia. And one week ago I already knew that Céline wouldn't go to any of those countries due to "logistic reasons". I didn't came here and talk about it, hoping they would go back on their decision, but that didn't happen. I was informed that SONY BMG PT and SONY BMG SPAIN tried their best to make her come. Like I've said before and I will repeat it again: the shows were 'cancelled' due to "logistic reasons".

 

It seems to me that the BIG WORLD TOUR was transformed in a BIG NORTH AMERICAN TOUR, with all my respect for USA and her american fans. I do believe Europe deserved more. The Iberic Peninsula deserved at least one concert.

 

Anyway... I'm letting this go.

 

JUst to let you know, possibly, the CD+DVD edition of the album will not be available in some european countries monday morning due to late distribution and delivery. Some of those countries: Portugal, Finland, Russia...

You people (i'm not gonna quote everybody here, but I'm talking to all of you) are putting words in my mounth. I never said these countries are not worthy. I said there's no reason for her to come, because it doesn't make business sense. There was no reason for you to get offended, because i didn't offend anybody. I just said it was silly to start complaining because she's not coming to your country, because she can't go everywhere and it's not business sense to go someplace where your music doesn't sell well, or where piracy is crazy (like Romania), or where there are no promoters willing to pay. The rest of it was just your own interpretations. So I'll stop here with this, I'll be the reasonable mature one, cause you obviously need to put words into people's mouths to have something to comment about. Any further comments on this matter, please send to me on PM, we can argue all you want without bothering people coming here just for info.

Jesus, I've seen so many people losing their chance of going to a concert, some people in worst and pretty much unfair conditions and they didn't complain half of it. Just don't drag it. Enough of it already. It's not like you were the only ones who lost it! There are A LOT of Brazilians here and I don't see them making such a big deal... Yes it sucks that Celine isn't going to places like South America, Portugal, etc etc...but is it really necessary to attack each other like this??? It's things like these that bring out the real character of people (some admirable [Monica] and some not so much). I really can't believe that something involving someone so beautiful (both inside and out) is resulting in something so ugly. It's truly sad.

 

Everyone just has to keep in mind that the tour cant possibly go to every county and every city in the world. It's only a year long tour. I'm not going to speculate how the tour schedule was determined because I don't work on Celine's team nor have I spoken with anyone directly connected with the scheduling but I'm sure Celine, Rene, nor anyone else for that matter woke up one morning and said "you know I don't really feel like going to these places". I'm sure that a lot of thought and consideration went into picking the cities the tour would hit and for whatever the reason is many countries and cities just didn't make the final list.

 

I really truly feel bad for those countries whom have been left out but I wish the fans would stop taking this personally, it isn't a personal attack against you nor is it against your country.

 

Finally, I would like to request that people stop attacking the U.S. There are so many posts here saying "U.S. fans should be happy", "they have nothing to complain about", "this is a U.S./North American tour", "the U.S. has had her for the last 5 years" etc etc etc. and that is just not fair. I know many fans who live in the U.S. but who have never been able to afford to see her and this tour is giving them now the opportunity to do so. I'm not sorry that I live in the U.S., I'm not sorry that I have been fortunate enough to see Celine multiple times and I am not sorry that I will have to opportunity to see her again during this tour but I am sorry that these facts have made people come across as resentful and spiteful. So please stop making these type of comments it's really not fair to us "U.S. fans".

BTW I'm not denying I'm from the U.S. My point is that there's no point in trying to point a finger at U.S. fans and try to make them feel bad nor is there any point in arguing with each other and turning this whole thing ugly.
