I received today my Collector's Edition....It's a jewel...Very beautiful, the perfum sampler smells very nice, the two little booklets are intelligently crafted....I love it...Oh, and the music is a true masterpiece.

Dion set to launch new French album celebrating women

LAS VEGAS — Celine Dion will launch a new French album titled ‘‘D’elles’’ on Monday in Las Vegas, where the Quebecer has performed a series of shows since March 25, 2003.

 

D’elles is a concept album to follow up 1995’s ‘‘D’eux,’’ her last French-language CD of original titles. It sold seven million copies worldwide.

 

With the huge success of D’eux, producer Jean-Jacques Goldman was brought back as musical supervisor for D’elles.

 

Next year, Dion will embark on a world tour for the first time since 1998. The tour will begin in Europe, with several dates already announced for Belgium, France and Switzerland.

 

Le Journal de Montreal reported the 39-year-old singer will perform a long-awaited show in Montreal in August 2008. Her last performance on Quebec soil was December 1999 in Montreal.

 

The new 13-track album pays tribute to women, with the lyrics of each song written by female authors from Quebec and France.

 

The CD will be available on Tuesday in stores across Canada.

 

Dion has sold more than 175 million albums across the globe, making her the number-one selling female artist of all time. She has 22 albums to her credit, including compilations.

 

Her only break from performing came in 2000 when she was pregnant with son Rene-Charles. Dion’s child is one of the reasons for her five-year stay in Las Vegas.

 

In December, she will complete a string of about 1,000 performances of the show ‘‘A New Day’’ at Caesar’s Palace.

 

But the Quebecer has remained visible to her fans. Last month, she performed a virtual duo with Elvis Presley on the popular television show ‘‘Amercan Idol.’’

You can see: Making Of The Album ("Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une" - playback -, "A Cause" - live footage from studio -, "Femme Comme Chacune" - live footage from studio with a little different arrangement); Making Of The Photoshoot (the one we had from Tele Loisirs); Making Of The Video (the one we had from NRJ12). That's all.

I just cancelled my order at amazon.com and re-ordered what I think is the collectors edition from amazon.fr! I can not wait any longer and seeing all theses photos is making me jelous!!

Can someone tell me - with the actual cd inside the collectors edition 'box', what does the back of the cd look like - where it lists the songs. Is it the same as the digipack?

It is a flyer inside the Digipack. But you will have it also on Collector: it is the other side of the back cover.

Marie Laberge, of 'Le temps qui compte' became an involving rock'n'roll which “strongly corresponds to my rate/rhythm with me†entrusted: “That took almost three months to me to write this text and I developed a kind of interior friendship with her (Celine). When I re-examined it, I wanted to take her in my arms.â€

 

In its 'Berceuse', Janette Bertrand wanted to express what a mother feels who leaves her child to the house to go to work. “It was not seen on TV (on TVA), said it, but Céline cried so much after having sung my song. She said to the public: “raise your hand those who criedâ€. Full people had a kleenex with the hand, it was touching. It is a dream this business, I am afraid to awake meâ€, added Mrs. Bertrand who however saw others of them.

 

Lise Payette wrote 'Je cherche l'ombre' with Céline Dion in the head, but while thinking of his companion of life which is died two years ago. “It is not written well that on subjects that one carries in oneself, says it. It is true the dramatic ones, now I can say that it is also true songs.†Its principal discovery, it is the faculty which has Céline Dion to interpret the feelings of the others. “Celine is a transmitter, says it. If one gives him words which want to say something, it enters in it as a slipper.†Unquestionable thing, the texts of these four ladies have an autonomous life now. In Quebec, the stores of discs received 135.000 specimens of the album D'Elles Tuesday. The following day, they ordered 45.000 others of them.
