Yes, they were wrong before but NOT until the whole celinedion.com wquipe has changed. Now they are posting very reliable news more and more frequently and more power to them! I for one appreciate their current work and believe this news is true - even if this unusual song is sung from the Vegas stage it doesn't matter. She will give her all like she always does on this telethon but hopefully this time she won't try to kill herself.

She can do anything indeed but since she has a new attitude we should not expect much! I myslef thought she wouldn't have a show that night - but she has and that has lowered my expectations by a lot. Unfortunately. Yet we still know she will sing something really different so I don't worry one bit about her voice, the song etc. Just a lil disappiointed cuzz she won't be there live from what I understand and deduce.

To be honest, I don't care if she is live in the Jerry Lewis Studio or Live on Stage at Caesar's Palace. For us watching the show on TV, it doesn't matter because either way we are still watching it on TV so it doesn't really matter if she is there live or not. The past few years she has been on screen at the telethon, but the performance was still live from Caesar's Palace because she was talking with Jerry Live.

 

And why has no one recognized the fact that she could go to the Jerry Lewis studio after her show. And to be honest again, I would rather her sing live from Caesar's Palace than to go to the Jerry Lewis Studio before 6:00 and record a taped song that they will play later in the telethon. That is also a possibility. I guess we will all see in a few days. Also for the World Music Awards, she performed before her show and then performed AND afterwards. So anything is possible. I would just like a set time so I know when to watch the telethon.

 

One more point, I don't think Celine is lazy. I recognize that she has a commitment in Las Vegas and that she has to save her voice for the AND show. She has fans travelling 100's of miles to see her in Las Vegas so I understand that is her #1 prioirity. In the past she has taken on other events only to get sick afterwards and then have to cancel shows. So I understand her & Rene limiting their commitments.

I prefer her to be in the studio, it seems more personal, intimate and "raw" if you know what I mean. we may also get to see more of her if she's there. About the only downside is we won't get to see a performance with the new costume.

 

Also, it doesn't have to be a taped performance, she has plenty of time after waking up and doing her normal routine before going to the studio.

I really don't care where she sings it either. She can sing it from her backyard next to the waterfall near her pool if she wants! This event is NOT for Celine - this is for the millions of people who are suffering from muscular dystrophy. I've just discovered my newest live peformance. The ones from In Some Small Way. Watch the one from Jay Leno on Celinemaniacs.com, as well as the performances on youtube. Each performance is better than the next, and they all sound better than on the CD. I particularly like the little screech thing she does at the end ("OH YEAAAAHHH YEAH YEAH). She always nails this song. If we could just copy the performance from Jay Leno and paste it on the telethon it would be perfect.

 

Do you think this song falls out of the category of "not in her usual repertoire"?
