He said she sang I'm Alive and it was from her own concert and that the sound was cut off a couple of times. He wasn't sure if they re-run a previous performance or if it was new. Great opening speech from Jerry Lewis, he pretty much said the same things during last year's telethon. Like some of you, I was a bit nervous when she sung the first few notes. I was in such awe throughout the song. What a phenomenal performance; the sheer power in her voice, her hand/head movements, the look in her eyes (winks). She is such a classy lady, the elegant dress, makeup, and hair were perfect! Celine just keeps on looking better, two thumbs way up for her choice of wardrobe. Celine & Jerry are so cute together it was nice to see Mego conducting the orchestra. Standing ovation Bring on the JAZZ ALBUM!!! I'm still in need of therapy from all this. This is one performance that we will all look back 5 years from now. The wait was definitely worth it!! even though I had only 4 hours of sleep. winforlife Posted September 4, 2006 at 08:39 PM Posted September 4, 2006 at 08:39 PM again seb - she sang this song very easily , i got the impression that if she only wanted to she could hit those long and powerful notes and i so wanted it to happen...the vibrato was there , u could tell it was right in place on the long notes ...when she sang it low she was as nasal as ever , in the beginning , but ohhh when she is using that vibrato - i wish we could hear more from it .<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was hoping she would have held a few notes longer,but Céline still sounded amazing and it was a memorable performance.
