As a psychology student I'd like to say that it isn't necessary to cure the good things like scfism Plus, I don't think it can be cured It either passes just like that or stays with you for the rest of your life So, if after this performance 1. you wanna have sex with Celine - it's OK2. you are dying of platonical love - it's OK3. you think it was Mariah who sang Summertime - you have serious mental issues and it's not OK<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quote Please support the forum by ordering everything through our special Amazon.com link Click here. Teodora Posted September 4, 2006 at 09:01 AM Posted September 4, 2006 at 09:01 AM Celine was totally amazing!I heard she sang a second song, from her concert. Did anyone get that? Quote
thevoice Posted September 4, 2006 at 09:01 AM Posted September 4, 2006 at 09:01 AM (edited) celine looked breathtaking - so classy . i wish from now on she'll be more aware of the things she wear because she is more beautiful now than ever.about the performance - not my favourite song to begin with but no doubt about the fact that she owned the stage , her voice was very deep and clear - i was a little nervous in the beginning when she had a little problem with the vibrato but when she went to a higher key later the vibrato was there and it sounded better than in recent times . overall , i wish she could sing this song maybe a little higher - we didnt really have a "money note" but no doubt that she was such a DIVA - in a good way : the way she looked , her hand movements , her look +now we know for sure that she is in love with jazz and would release a jazz album next. edit : christina move aside , u have sooooooooooo many things to learn from the real deal . suddenly her album sounds "ordinary" after hearing celine's voice. Céline's Blues Posted September 4, 2006 at 10:13 AM Posted September 4, 2006 at 10:13 AM She was definitely feeling the song and the fact that she borrowed Foster's arrangements speaks only for a good sense of musicality she has. She went for light delivery and remained so vocally elegant throughout the whole song - Mariah is surely burning now out of envy along with her silicon playback tapes. It was an outstanding moment for Céline and that anticipation when Larry introduced her was so good! LOL But it was all along worth the wait: her vocals were sultry, nothing over-the-top. Her stage presence as always priceless. She looked so classy and healthy. Sounded so pure and honest...she will SO release a jazz album in near future! I told you all along! In my opinion she just nailed the song cuzz it didn't need any of the notes you would have liked. She sounded pure, powerful yet controlled. It was the best performance of the year for sure! And for me better than anything she's ever sung live in 1996 or 1997 where she would have not exhibited nearly as much feeling as she did now, in 2006, in the dawn of the new jazz times! If we're lucky then the stars will line up exactly for a good jazzy album sung by Céline - it's about time. She's gotten a standing ovation for her performance and everyone was just more than thrilled hearing her voice skillfully sliding along the sassy lyrics of this classic. thevoice Posted September 4, 2006 at 10:45 AM Posted September 4, 2006 at 10:45 AM again seb - she sang this song very easily , i got the impression that if she only wanted to she could hit those long and powerful notes and i so wanted it to happen...the vibrato was there , u could tell it was right in place on the long notes ...when she sang it low she was as nasal as ever , in the beginning , but ohhh when she is using that vibrato - i wish we could hear more from it .
