not true. she SOUNDED like she was a back singer but that was not the intention + WTWOLYR is much easier...

Celine's voice is wonderful! Her voice is not in any kind of bad condition! She sounds wonderful. I think she takes care of her voice now days. Yes she sings 5 nights a week so she can't hit those high notes every night and still have a nice voice. She has to take it easy which anyone can understand. There is nothing wrong with her voice at all.

According to an internet article Céline won't be shown during this year's Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon via satellit from the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas because it seems like she will be live in the studio together with other famous Las Vegas headliners such as Comedian Rita Rudner from the NewYorkNewYork hotel, magician Lance Burton from the Monte Carlo and singer Clint Holmes from Harrah's.

There is definitely no show on the fourth? In the past on the telethon she appeared via satellite from her show, so I'm thinking she'll do the same thing again, but if there's no show, maybe she'll sing something totally different that is not in her show, and get to talk a little more and interact with the children. That would be great.

 

And I'm tired of those saying how bad Celine's voice is! Listen to her recent bootleg concert that is on this forum, you'll see that she still sounds amazing! We can't compare her to 10 years ago, it's unrealistic. None of us is the same as we were 10 years ago, so let it go will ya!?

Well the newspaper said we may very well have hope for the event. It will do her good to listen to Patti belting out her new song on stage. Perhaps she will think: "Oh, Patti, Patti, I can better! Look look listen listen!!!" I think PAtti would sound amazing on Love Can Move Mountains.

The song she will sing has to certainly be in connection with the telethon itself. So it can't be neither "Seduces me" nor "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" or such. It HAS to be in the vein of "Love Can Move Mountains", "Miracle", "If I Could" or something really inspirational from Patti's gospel repertoire. I truly wish they'd sing together a gospel song full of hope - then the lyrics would fit and gogo would be found dead the very minute they would both belt out the first earth-shattering refrain together. hahaha Edited August 23, 2006 at 11:02 PM by siur

Miracle would be an EXCELLENT choice. Remember how great she sang that on Ellen a couple of years ago? (If you don't remember, check on You tube) She needs to sing that song with David Foster on the piano again

I also think she sounded great in 2005 BUT I think she sounded and also looked better in 2003 when she sang the same song. I have never ever seen Céline whisper a song so gently and with such emotion. She truly meant it. And about the Céline Dion killing in 2005: LOL I can't stop laughing when I think about this hahahahaha At one point while singing "If I Could" on the telethon she hit herself so hard you could actually hear how dam hard that was on TV! And then she looked so freakishly into the camera as if I don't know what...OMG ahhaha but yes, she indeed sounded good - yet everyone should watch the 2003 performance which is better emotionally as I find. It's etheral.

 

EDIT: Wait a min, guys, did she do IIC in 2004 or 2005? If so what did she sing in 2005? I'm Alive? I have never seen that performance, have I? OMG she did indeed sing IA in 2005! LOL So maybe it'll be like: 2003: IIC 2004: IIC 2005: IA 2006: IA
