Clive Davis adores Whitney Houston....it really wouldn't matter if she continues to decline the way she has, he will always look at her as the greatest. And I think it has a lot to do with the fact that he had something to do with the beginning of her career. Deep down, I think he knows that Celine has respected her craft and continues to shine....but he will always stay by Whitney's side.

 

As far as this performance, I think it was quite good considering what the previous years held for her. I don't look at it as the moment she returned....obviously, she hasn't recovered yet. She even went BACK into rehab after this performance. But the woman can sing, and she will always have that..she just doesn't have the vocal power that she used to.

 

The other thing that is interesting is if this is truly from 2004, then it's the same night that Celine was awarded with the Greatest Selling Female Artist of all time award. So it's kind of rude for Clive to introduce Whitney as the greatest singer in the world today. Not only because it's not true, but in a way...it was like he was trying to put down Celine.

I think she was amazing the first female singer i loved, and when celine was crying it was cause she knew how much talent she had and has lost due to her battle with drugs, she will always rate high in my singers list

You know what amazes me? Whitney's delusional and blind hard-core fan base. I mean just look at them: Whitney's husband is cruising around and is attending the best parties all over the USA currently and yes guess what his wife is NOT with him! Whitney's fans can't simply see the fact that she doesn't give shhhhhhhhhhhhh about them. Not even in the slightest. She prefers to be locked up somewhere where nobody sees her and do God knows what. I swear I'm reading Whitney messageboards just for pure entertainment - she's been gone ever since the year 2000, two new albums of hers flopped big time and they are still hoping for a new album and new hoarse live performances. Oh and not to mention they talk about the Bodyguard soundtrack as if it was yesterday. Sad, sad, sad. And so over.

Whitney Houston Files For Separation From Bobby Brown

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (September 13, 2006) -- Access Hollywood has learned from a source close to Whitney Houston that the star has filed for a legal separation from her long-time husband Bobby Brown. The source says legal documents were filed Friday and that Bobby Brown was served with those documents yesterday. Houston plans to officially file for divorce in October.

 

Bobby Brown & Whitney Houston got married on July 18th 1992. They have been married for 14 years.

 

They have one daughter, Bobbi Kristina, born March 4, 1993.

 

In June 2005, Brown launched his own reality series, "Being Bobby Brown," on the Bravo television network.

Before there was Mariah or Mary J Blige, Whitney Houston was the music world's uncontested number one soul diva. And recently the Grammy-winning singer revealed plans to get back in the recording studio.

 

At a music industry shindig this week Whitney seemed to be glowing with anticipation over what will be her first album in three years.

 

Chic in a sexy satin top and black trousers, the songstress looked in good shape for a comeback. Six songs have been lined up for her to record and music bosses are confident the material will go down a treat with fans despite her recent well-publicised troubles.

 

Whitney was accompanied by Clive Davis, the legendary producer who has masterminded her career since the early days. He was quick to reassure fans the new disc will stay true to her famous style rather than focus on a flashy reinvention. "Whitney is Whitney and there's nobody like her," he proclaimed. Yeah, it's about time she kicks that scum out of her life! But I don't believe it until she's really finally divorced. I wish her all the best.
