Being a fan isn't just putting blinders on and praising Celine for everything she does, and not seeing any fault.  I don't think anyone has the right to tell someone they are not enough of a fan, because everyone likes Celine differently. 

 

She should not be lipping songs.  She's doing it more frequently, and I feel cheated.  If she's gotten so lazy that she cannot even get through one song without thinking her voice is going to give out, then she needs to stop singing and take a break again.  She's gotten herself into such a long commitment, that her true abilities are falling by the wayside.  She's getting way too comfortable, and it shows in her work.  She's putting out material in between breaks, and it isn't the quality that we all know she's capable of.  All those years building up her reputation, and now everyone thinks she putting out crappy material, and she's lipping most of her songs.  I think it's ridiculous.  I can understand in her show a few of the songs, but now she's resorted to lipping an album version of an 8 year old song on tv, then being praised for having a perfect voice?  That's just plain insulting to me.

instead of reminding people how many OTHER beautiful songs she has , she is turning herself into a one hit wonder and that's how people treat her as "the singer from titanic" .

thevoice, I'm sorry, it's an empty fuss. All that was written is interesting. But... For what? So many and around the same? I bet it looks similiar to 'Celine's attitude' which you blame a little...

She was, does and will be talking about the same, singing THAT song and using playback from time to time. It is reality. (By the way she's using playback since Unison era, thus begining to appear on TV-shows. It's not new and began not now!)

Why to talk about it over and over, pushing on the same spot.

Relax people. Beauty is in the eyes of beholder. Try to find something beautyful in the event. There're lot of others that deserves attention than just singing.

Since she's in Vegas - that's how things were always be. Was it a news for you? No, I guess.

 

P.S. Everybody understood that you don't like MHWGO and same things interviews from the first speach. Your point was heard right there, right away.

Talk about your son and your husband as much as you want. Speak your mind as much as you won't. Don't give a damn to what people think and talk from the heart and with all your emotion. Otherwise it wouldn't be you.

I just saw it on TV the other day..twas very nice, though I was a bit puzzled on the song choice, it seemed a little bizarre, she could have sung If I could or something like that, a New day has come maybe even?

I think you've said you wouldn't watch "The View" show since the very beginning. Cause you know she'd talk about her family.... and you know MHWGO was playback. So why bother to repeat again and again.

 

She always talk about the same stuff on English interviews, cause the hosts always ask her the same questions. In the French interviews she always talk about something different, and in few English interviews. I don't think we should blame Celine for repeating herself when the hosts always ask her the same things.

 

Had you seen how much the ladies in "The View" enjoy talk about and listen to MHWGO. I bet it's them who asked Celine to performe that song.

and all of u who r saying she is singing playback because of technical problems - it's not true and that's a fact . she sang live during the gala with elton yet chose to sing MHWGO , TLYM , TPOL , IACBTMN in playback during the same event!! - why? because those songs r the hard ones .

also - most of the times artists r playing live in "the view" so it was celine's decision not to play live .

Only partially right. Céline isn't the one who is in charge of the programme which is a broadcast for middle aged housewives. So is the content accordingly.

 

About the playback - it was surely up to them to decide. There was no rehearsal, no band, it was cold, it was morning. The Vegas air isn't good for her. You surely don't know whether it's her own decision. And yes she did playback on all these songs CUZZ it was convenient to use those tapes since her sound engineers were all in one place where they ALWAYS are. Sheer comfort.
