In the first week of January IBIY has been added to one AC station and received 5 spins. LOL! Not really much but it's a good start...I wonder if it's the English or the French version.

Nowadays Celine can't get played even on the AC radio stations.

Remember Sony was caught in a payola scam and Celine was mentioned in that whole mess. The radio won't play Celine songs in a long, long time.

Yes that's the station I heard it on before Christmas!!! It was the French/English version I heard, not the full english, which leads me to believe that the full english version won't be released which is dumb (or will it be?). How did you find that out? HYEBIL was very well promoted. It had a video, it was released on TWO albums and it had a separate CD-single. Céline performed live quite a few times, and it was even used in Chrysler's commercials.

I'm SO glad they play the bilingual version. Céline is French Canadian and her voice sounds amazing and it does attract the audience cuzz it has at least *some* English lyrics. LOL!

 

And nobody said it would be a hit, yet it can do decently on the AC radio. We'll see! It ain't looking all that good, tho... haha Fingers crossed!

I’m glad if it’s the bi-lingual version. I don’t want Celine's songs to be ruined because Americans don’t know French. A lot of European don't know French, yet many enjoy French music. So should Americans.

If they dont play the english version in the Usa i wonder why they recorded it! on il divo's dvd u can hear a part of the english version etc etc (as u can read on il divo's album the bilingual version is an adaptation I mean the original track is in english!)

Well a jazz album is whenever (if) it's being released from now on old, and out. But perhaps that's the idea? But instead of running to catch up and still be way too late, wouldn't it be better do a new trend? I suggest Nina Simone kinda music. Yes we have jazz influenses there but there's also rock and 60ies music and a little bit of hippie music, blues and soul.... - ain't that nice??
