Letters to Celine

I gave a letter I wrote to her in French to her brother Michel as she performed in Vienna on July 1st 2008. I know that he gave it to her but I don't know if she read it because I never got an answer.

 

I know that she loves her fans but I don't understand why all the other lucky people get an answer..... but I get none

@ autumnskies00: I did the same thing you did! I wrote a letter and wanted to hand it to Céline during one of the concerts but as I failed (I've been to shy, hehe...), I gave it to one of her bodyguards. I wrote about many things but I haven't asked for anything, not for any autographs.

And about 1,5 months later I received a reply from Céline which has been sent from the hotel when she's been staying at that moment and she sent me personal autograph. So that's how I know she received my letter. Or actually she read my letter MUCH earlier! Because I met the same bodyguard like one week later after giving him my letter and he recognized me, told me that Céline has read my letter and what her reaction was! Already this was great enough for me: to know that she has read my words, that she could get to know a bit more about me, my story and my feelings for her... So when I got that personal reply from her 1,5 months later, I've been totally shocked but of course also sooo grateful!!

 

I gave an another, shorter letter and a gift for her to her brother before the show in Vienna. I don't expect for any reply to that, I haven't asked for anything that time either. But I'm sure she has got that other letter and gift as well. I don't need confirmation for that.

It's the joy of giving - you write/give something to someone and you are happy just by this, without expecting anything in return.

 

As for the older discussion about being greedy etc. Really greedy are those autograph hunters which I had a doubtable luck to see several times 'in action' in Berlin who were there at the hotel EVERYDAY, all the same people all over again! They were asking for more and more autographs from her and if you would check eBay, you would see those particular guys selling the autographs for a LOT of money. Now, that's greedy.

 

I haven't asked for autograph in my letter to Céline, because I didn't felt like doing that but I see no problem with it at all! After all, Céline is famous, she's a huge celebrity and autographs are part of it. And we could see numbers of times that she doesn't mind giving autographs - rather the opposite: she enjoys doing it! In Poland at the Walk Of Fame she wasn't suppose to give any autographs at all, there wasn't a word about it in the shedule of the event (I had the shedule in my hand, it was very tight and no time space for autographs or so!) and if you've read the reviews or seen the videos from the event, you could see that revealing of her star was almost like an 'addiction' to that even for her! Most of the time she spent walking aloong the barricades and pleasing her fans with hundreds or maybe even thousands of autographs!

 

As for sending her a letter, personally I know a few people who sent a letter to Ceasar's Palace or gave it to someone close to her during "A New Day..." era or during this tour and getting a reply from her.

 

Although, I can't be of any help about where to write to her nowadays, when she left Vegas... I guess you just have to try the addresses listed a few posts above mine.

 

Long time ago, when the Vegas show started, I planned to write a letter to her but after all I didn't so the letter I gave to her bodyguard in May was the first time when she could read something from me. So happy she did!

I sent a letter to TC six years ago and received a personalized autograph. I left a letter for her on stage this summer (June 7th) but I still haven't heard anything. She saw it and she said thank you (

at 3:25 ) but since she has people who collect everything for her that's left on stage I don't know if she ever got it or read it. I told myself as I was writing it that it would not matter if I didn't hear anything because that was not the pojnt and I still stand by that. I just wanted to say thank you, to let her know just how much she's helped me through. How I would not be the same person, without her music and how much she has been there for me during all the horrible things I've endured over the past few years...all of that. I think it's not rude to ask for an autograph (if you are not asking for 5 or 10 of them, hehe) but as i mentioned earlier, I haven't asked for any. And still, i received one which was soooo sweet of her!

I wrote to her a few years ago... back in the old Vegas days I left a letter for her with the guest services desk and I suppose from there it had a direct route backstage. It was my first time writing and I told her it was my first concert ever and that I'd flown darn far to see my dream come true. A month later I got a Feeling productions mailer and I absolutely flipped out, and upon finding a personalized autograph inside I pretty much exploded with joy. I still have no idea whether she actually read my message, or it was a random staff member. But yeah. you don't actually have to ask for an autograph, I think their automatic response might already be to do so!

Obviously she has no time to write longer replies to all letters she reads but this kind gesture make us know that she indeed received and read the letter.

But since reading this thread made me realized to write her again early next year. I have this idea surprising a friend. Hopefully i'll have some response.

I got an autograph in the mail today! Best part is, that my addres was on the inside of the letter, so that means, she had to of read it. Although, I'm being realistic here, it was from her Feeling Productions in Quebec, so I'm thinking all of the letters may get sent to the office, and then her assistant does the signing. Still, what a nice gesture! And so fast!! It was funny because my dad woke me up and was like "package from Celine", but he was just being sarcastic and had no idea lol. Then I saw the address and I was like "IT IS FROM CELINE" lol. I'll take a photo later.

 

So, that was from giving it to her bodyguard. I encourage you guys to try, if you really have something to say. Which, who doesn't have something to say to Celine?

I don't know. She could have signed it herself. I mean, my letter had to be opened for them to get my address. I'm just thinking that she gets so many of these, that she may not sign them. Then again, them faking a signature, would take just as much effort as her signing one so I don't know. I still obviously appreciate what they went through to get it sent to me. I mean I gave her my letter in NJ, it was brought up to Quebec, then the autograph was fedexed back to the U.S. (which costs about $6 USD). She could have lost it with all of that traveling in between, but she didn't. It was done so quickly too. I gave it to her bodyguard on the 13th...but I don't think she got back to Quebec til Saturday...and I got it this morning. I can't think of any other artist that does so much for their fans. She's a beautiful person inside and out. What I wrote in my letter is something I really needed to express, and just to know that she looked at it, is enough for me.

Heh okay. The thing is she doesn't send out autographs altogether that often either! so it might not be such a truckload of things that she needs to have someone else to sign them. if someone else does, she's doing a pretty good job of forging Celine and Celine should be careful.. lol.

It looks not fake. I have never heard of her fan club fake her signature. They do print her signature in reply letters sometimes. But it looks different to her real signature.
