You should have seen me when I lost my sight last year. I slept night and day for the first month, I would not listen to music or watch TV, just slept I was so depressed. I still have moments today where if there was a painless way out of this life, as I am one of the biggest babies you will ever meet, I would do it sooooooooo fast. I ain't cut out for this world that's not made for blind people. So I get it, even though we don't have the same issues. Mine will never go away either. I will never see the sun, crosswalk on a street, Celine's face, my little brother, etc. Sometimes the things we know are best for us are the hardest to do because we have no energy.
