riobeard11 Posted June 30, 2012 at 09:47 PM Posted June 30, 2012 at 09:47 PM We were hit with a sudden storm with derecho winds, they caused a ton of damage in the downtown area here, which is where the Lee Brice show was supposed to be at. I'm doubting it'll happen now since the storm hit. They haven't said yet. There's like 100,000 people without power, I was lucky to be in an area that wasn't hit too hard but see the photo below? That was on my back porch. I started to walk out my back door to see if it had started to storm yet and just as I did this huge gust of wind came and slammed the door shut shoving me back in just as a plate glass window that my dad had sitting on the porch blew over and shattered every where. Had I been outside on the porch when that happened it would have blown all over my bare legs and feet. That was a scary moment.....http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m6ek8vAsf01qh1qdoo1_500.pngWe had the same thing here - nine people died in the storm last night in this area apparently There are trees down everywhere and no traffic lights working...which is really annoying in this city's traffic. Lots of people don't have power/water but my building seems to be fine. Just went to see the movie Ted and it was pretty funny actually.

I keep forgetting I have extra money from buying the tickets left over that Chastity has to give me as well as the money for the ticket she's buying from me. I will have plenty by the time we go since I'm babysitting a few more times before then.
