[Rumor] New Christmas album

Le 1er septembre, j'ai vu Mégo au garage après le spectacle. Je l'ai félicité pour la chanson qu'il a composé pour les Olympiques de Pékin. Il était assez surpris et il m'a demandé si je la connaissais, je lui ai dit que non, que j'en avais seulement juste entendu parler, et que je savais que Véronic Dicaire avait enregistré le démo. Je lui ai alors demandé si ça se retrouverait sur le prochain album de Véronic, et il m'a répondu que ça serait peut-être sur le prochain album de Noel de Céline.. Je comprenais rien du tout, mais j'avais pas envie de le retenir plus longtemps, donc je suis resté pleins de questions.. Voilà, alors ça risque d'être un nouvel album, peut-être déjà enregistré ou qui sera enregistré à l'automne.. Je trouve ça bizz étant en break mais bon, ça me surprendrais pas non plus.

 

On 1 September, I saw Mégo at the garage after the show. I congratulated him for the song he wrote for the Olympics in Beijing. He was quite surprised and asked me if I knew, I told him no, I had only just heard about it, and I knew Véronic Dicaire had recorded the demo. I then asked if it would be placed on the next album Véronic, and he said that it might be on the next Noel album of Celine .. I understood nothing, but I do not want to keep him longer, so I am still full of questions .. Well, then it may be a new album, can be saved or will be registered in the fall .. I find that being in bizz break but hey, I'm not surprised.

 

so who knows! maybe it's in french or in english (cos David Foster wrote some x-mas songs for Céline in 2006??) or maybe it's half french, half english! that would be awesome too!

 

TAST is already ELEVEN YEARS AGO!! plus her last french christmas album dates back from 1983 So i think it's high time for a modern french Noël Album!

I know the song Mego wrote for the Olympics in Beijing. It's called Peace, Love and Harmony. I had heard a Chinese singer sing it on the Yang Lan TV show. I don't really like it.

Then it would be TATST The Second with english&french songs hope the rumours are true...i never get tired of Christmas carols Celine could cover etc. White Christmas.., It´s Beginging to look like Christmas.., Pretenders classic A wonderful little christmas time...Madonna´s Santa baby.... I just got an email from a friend of mine who manages a FYE store. Here is what it said: I know you are a huge Celine fan, and I just wanted you to know that I have got info that Celine is releasing a new Christmas album this year. I'm not sure if you recall, but I manage an FYE store, and it is on our list of upcoming releases. At this time it is listed for November. I have no other specifics such as a tracklisting but thought you might like to know.

 

 

I emailed him back and asked him if it actually said a Christmas album or if he is assuming that because of the November release date. Otherwise, I would assume this is the the LIVE CD/DVD. When he emails me back, I will let you guys know what he says.

TAST its one of her best produced albums ever, and its a classic christmas album worldwide, not to mention the sales it got with scarce promotion. Another second part for this year would be amazing, there are many other great xmas songs they didn't include that can make another great album like TAST

You totally got me going on this one! I CAN HEAR her voice in a very mellow jazzy arrangement. Oh!

I don't mind as long as it's something new and fresh(a jazz christmas album, maybe??..)

A Christmas album is a PERFECT idea of her not to overwork. She'll record (and have TIME to record a fabulous album), maybe do a TV special and a few appearances. That way she's not bored and she's using her voice.

 

I'm excited!

And Davey, "Petit Papa Noël" is Magic!! I remember having that k7 as a little boy and LOVING that big voice.

 

VintageCeline, I doubt we'll see her earlier albums released for a LONG time!

BUT, could this also mean the release date of the tour dvd....?!? If he talked about the only release date he knows without clarifying if it's about a dvd or a cd. Though I don't know which would be cooler to come out first, the tour dvd or a completely new album..!

I think in the end, I'd take the dvd.
