I listened to it on surround sound without the crowd noise and instruments and although it was a very very short clip… I was so happy & excited to see her again in this setting but… as it’s sooo short let’s be honest.

For now, based on this clip after a few listens this was her at ease, not trying very hard and it sounded ok, based on what I heard, but I was not blown away or excited by it at the same time. ( I will always be brutally honest, whether people appreciate or not )

I love Céline to bits, but this short clip didn’t get me excited at this point.

Although, my fingers, toes & everything else are crossed for good things ahead, after her extremely tough time/journey with this condition but also for us the fans for our support, love, patience and dedication during the longest break in career.

Let’s hope, “the best is yet to come” .

Sorry but she sounds dreadful. The whole squeezing and artificial nasality that she said she was doing before but would no longer do going forward, she’s doing it more than ever. And she doesn’t seem to have great control of her voice. Honestly, she sounds at least as bad as 2017-2019, and I thought at least tone-wise she’d be back to her pleasant self.

That being said, it’s hard to tell how much was a stylistic choice and how much is just her being limited—unfortunately, I think it tilts heavily towards the latter.

No wonder even “I’m Alive” was lipped. The way she sounds here, she can’t sing her own songs.

Oh gosh. You re exagerating too much. You're being too dramatic. She sounds fine to me. I don't mind it and I think she's still able to sing her own songs. And, yes, I would pay her to sound exactly like in 2017. Artificial, as you said, this woman is going through the battle of her life and that's your first reaction after hearing her voice live in months? Yeah, she should've not sung nothing and left us wondering for the next 25 years just because she have to project her voice a little nasal. God, I am sorry, I trying to be impartial towards your message, but I simply can't.

That s the first time since when that we hear her true live voice not even touched ? With what she is going though what I hear is good, really good.  A strong Celine compared to the last 10 years.

No cure or training will bring back the old voice. Some of the damages started 15years ago and her actuel thorax rigidity and vocal spasms will always be there. We can hear how much she progressed already.

If she can record albums with that still beautiful voice, certainly better than just before her hiatus, I m so here for that ❤️

I’m no expert, but she sounds better than Love Again and probably better than Courage album considering that this is probably not edited. Let’s see if the machinery starts moving after summer…

At least now we heard that she can still sing LIVE. Just be patient. And I think she's still in vocal therapy - I think this is an improvement and it will improve more soon. No more short breath syllable singing and dry vocals. I guess the only thing that annoys me a little bit is the eq of her mic. It's a little bit on highs/treble. You know increasing the treble can be fatiguing in ears.

This is great! And I guess she's really getting ready for the next year's show and for the upcoming surprise performance this year (maybe)  since we are just in July. We have 5 more months to look at.

LOVE IT! And people loved it! That's what matters.

Can we deduce where she is recording this?

I’m sad. She sounds ‘good’ and happy but definitely I don’t think she’d be able to perform a concert as we’re used to. Maybe they really do need to update us and tell us the lay of the land when it comes to her coming back.

If she said they were preparing a show, a year ago, and this was the voice, realistically the show would have to be almost all playback surely

After a couple of listening do I think those things has a charm? Yes.
Do I take this anytime over a lipped song from the 90s? BIGTIME!

A whole show with her signature songs? I don't know.
But honestly ill take anything over lipped 90s versions.

Celine sitting on a chair, and Scott playing the piano. Playing and singing stripped down versions?! Count me in, I will be paying for those tickets!

And don't forget the last time we saw and heard her singing something live was during the documentary, and it's been a improvement can't we all agree on that?

The full video she posted on her Instagram (she's singing two Serge Fiori songs from Harmonium) was much more promising than the particular short excerpt they shared for Fiori's memorial service. I think she sounds better on the first song.

I'm not sure how I expected her to sound. I really encourage everyone to listen to the last 35 seconds though ... the Celine magic finds its way

And I'm glad she kept Scott Price around, she seems to trust him and they seem to have a nice, supportive connection.

Having heard/watched the whole thing.

I love how content she looks, not pushing anything, enjoying being back in that environment with Scott.

We all wanted to hear her voice “live” since the documentary… and here it is on show.

Like others have said it’s nice to hear… but was it what I thought and expected having heard her voice is being rebuilt… no.
But I think based on this performance, what it was for, and the genre of song… maybe we need to hear another song and genre in a different setting before concluding.

I do wonder based on the recording sessions for Love Again in the doc. was this video shot in one take, or a few.
In other words has she got more control since Love Again, or does she still struggle here and there.

And would Scott just fly to Vegas for this?
Surely she’s recording or done another video… who knows maybe she’s even rehearsing.

But without jumping the gun on her voice, she has to be applauded for showing us her voice.

And yeah totally agree with your comment about Scott! Hopefully this means also means they are doing other stuff together, may it be rehearsing for a show, recording new songs or just jamming to keep her voice trained.

Yeah totally agree 1000%!! And what we also don't know is how much vocal exercises she does regularly! Sure she is working on her body muscles, but is she also working on her vocal muscles on a daily basis? Like she would have done when she was still performing.

Also, labeling this a live performance feels tricky. I know what fans mean, but it's a one-take performance that they filmed beforehand. We have already heard this same unedited voice in 2025 and in 2024 -- but only for short moments, not for an entire song.

Road to improvement. And for sure we will see her in concert soon. The fighting spirit of Celine should not be underestimated because despite the illness up to now, it shows. That's the Celine I know.

I understand what you mean, but even on a normal day, she'd have a rehearsal for a song and then do it 'live'.

Incredible and lovely to see her connecting with music, she's so musical it doesn't matter if she has a "perfect" voice. I think we're all smiling watching it, especially as we're starved of seeing her so often. You can tell how much she was enjoying it.


Of course, on a purely technical and analytical level there's 1) sounding good 2) sounding great 3) sounding like THE Celine Dion -- which are three separate things.

Well compared to the "Love Again" sessions which was the last time we saw her singing "live" it's night and day. She looks SO happy and content and you can see at the end of the song it was a kind of achievement for her. I'm proud of her.

Anyone expecting a female singer who is 57 years old and battling SPS to sound like she did in the 90's or 00's needs to find someone else to follow cos that person ain't ever coming back. The demands you place on her are not only crazy but unrealistic.

For me, I still see and hear a wonderful vocalist who is still enjoying singing, and so desperate to impress and return to the stage, and I am most certainly here for that.

I think she sounded fine. Don't forget the SPS battle. Of course she needs more vocal training. A whole concert is an another question/level.

After better hearing it s not that good. But it s raw. Nothing touched at all no production. She didn’t sound better I think in 2017.

She should have worked so hard to deliver this with her disease and coming from what we saw in the doc.

I agree. She is so musical that it doesn’t need to be perfect. It could also bring new possibilities artistically. While I still hear her tone and imparable technicality I now also hear SPS in her voice.

Loved the moment,.and love the fact that Celine is not giving up. Her condition is so severe, anything from.here musically is a treasure.
