Full version of NHL draft appearance if anyone missed it.

What is this event actually about? I have no clue what she announced, why is it important or why Montreal hockey team was in Vegas?

The NFL draft is where hockey teams draft or pick new players happens every year and each year usually a new location where it happens this year it was LV. Every sport has one the NFL draft was in Detroit this year. The Montreal Canadians knew Celine and the boys are fans so contacted her to announce their first draft pick this year I am sure since it was being held in LV. I remember how Rene wanted to buy the hockey team but it never happened.

See I thought the first crisis came first. It seems noone really knows what is going on only that this has happened before. Sounds like that one was pre he diagnosis to me.

That could be just kind of hard to follow the timeline and a few post of dates on bottom would have been nice.

I have to wonder if all the health issues she supposedly had/developed over the years, mentioned once or twice but never again were all just a manifestation of her SPS.  I'm referring to Asthma (issues breathing could again be more about muscle control), the eye disease she said she had (SPS can affect sight due to issues with the eye muscles), the inner ear issue, the back issue a few years back (I would say that was a definite) and the jaw coming out of alignment regularly during the Taking Chances tour (was this actually caused by spasms so severe).


I do believe when she says this has been ongoing for 17 years though that it's more likely to have been spasms and smaller issues here and there that she can now pinpoint as early onset of the disease. I definitely don't believe she was over medicating and struggling throughout every other show for that length of time.

Same here! I also rewatched her Hymn a Lamour performance from AMA and her raspy notes sounded very similar to those that Celine demonstrated in the documentary. Maybe because of all emotions her chest was also rigid then

So this Youtube review (link at bottom) which is about 25 mins, the hosts actually review the whole movie on their Patreon site. So I subscribed and listened to whole thing.

Some interesting takeaways from people who are singers and liked her music but as it turned out really knew nothing of her. They had not watch the Hoda or any other interview done with her about the doc.

One of the craziest things is they did not know she had 13 brothers and sisters. That surprised me. Second a couple of times after seeing a clip of Rene thought they were then going to talk a little about him. They did know he was her producer or manager they mentioned so they were not totally clueless as to who he was like they were about her family. They had no idea her singing All By Myself and breaking down was the first time she sung after his death.

They did not realize this was filmed few years ago and were confused on the masks. Had no idea what the Love Again movie was and they kind of thought she was recording a new song that might be released soon not that it was already released. They at least knew she was French Canadian so why she spoke French in it.

They missed what the 100 year birthday wish was for and thought she was getting paid to record messages.

As singers they could really relate to now devastating it would be for her to lose that ability.

Just fascinating to see people that know about Celine as a singer but not personally thought of certain aspects. Why I still stand my it needed some graphics with time stamps on some of the footage just to give a little context. We as fans get it but the general public would not and also how then they can walk away thinking that most of this happened recently.

Also I like happy endings so shot me so do wish at end would have given just a quick blurb on how she is doing better and continues to not let this condition stop her.

So I watched the documentary three times already and I noticed something: and the very end when she records love again and leaves the studio to greet her physical therapist, they enter another room right next to the studio to do physical therapy. This is when she suffers from an attack.

Now my question is: did they already know that she would probably suffer from an attack because she would be overstimulated by a long recording session, so they decided to do physical therapy right after knowing that a crisis would occur and they would have to chance to film it for the documentary?

What are your thoughts on this? Because in my opinion, it is quite strange that they rented a place to record new music and at the same time do physical therapy right next to the studio in the same place. She could’ve done that at home as usual. Also, the conversation after the crisis when Celine is already OK seems a little bit prepared, don’t you think?

To me, it almost seems like they were already in some sort of multipurpose building. I think they must’ve made the recording studio just for her so they didn’t have to worry about timing and being out by a certain hour. Maybe they just had the therapist booked already since they knew she would be out. I highly doubt they were filming just because they thought she may go into an episode… it’s like Irene said in the interviews they just happened to be filming and it happened. Like what Celine was telling them all along was just happening and they happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I think the conversation after more or less alluded to the fact that Celine had work to do if she’s going to get back on stage. Like her therapist said, the brain had an overload of overstimulation and just didn’t know how to process, which led to the crisis. I think that’s why she’s been getting out in public, getting used to lights, sound, and crowds again little by little. Like her therapist said, it’s just going to have to get used to the so called “triggers” little by little.

It could’ve been her Summerlin home before it was sold. Maybe that home had the studio so they drove from Henderson to summerlin… because I’m sure we would’ve seen her children once the episode started had she been in her main home.

Don't think her other home. When see them driving to the space the next day to continue recording it looks like in a industrial strip mall place of some kind.

Also think recorded in this place and not a known studio with producers other than Denis and Dave is they did not want anyone to know what state she was in regards to her voice.

It seems sensible to me to schedule one activity after the other. Remember, both the recording and physiotherapy are things she HAD to do.

When she first sees the therapist she apologies for being late and he says it's ok. Then they start the session as normal till the crisis took place. This is consistent with what Irene said in relation how to sudden the episode was. Nothing seemed forced or staged to me.

Maybe she owns a penthouse of some kind IDK… maybe where RC is supposedly living after speculation that he moved out. RC is an artist as well he may have a studio and bowling alley.

The studio almost felt put together not something permanent. Maybe in part of the warehouse(s) she owns or maybe offices she owns.

They were there with her at the draft last night (per John K’s LVRJ article).
(Btw I’m a little surprised Celine didn’t mind that scene staying in… her kids being served milkshakes on a silver platter by a butler 🫢)

Charlie was the dog she talked about Rene falling in love with on Oprah. She has to be gone by now as she was older. I wonder if she got another puppy?

I really hope so! Dogs are amazing.
My dad had some health issues recently and getting a puppy was such a godsend. It’s truly amazing how much it helped him, both mentally and physically.

And also, some dogs can be trained to detect seizures before they happen. Don’t know if it could be the same with her SPS episodes, but you never know!

What's this about?

She mentioned it in an interview some time ago about how her eye sight was and would deteriorate further due to some form of eye disease that she has.  I cannot remember the name or where she said it, it might have been in an interview or on stage at some time.  I can’t remember but she definitely said it.

I have really struggled today, since watching the documentary last night, and although I found it awe inspiring and harrowing, those final scenes keep replaying over and over again in my mind but it’s made me realise as well, how much I’ve missed her these past four years.  How much I’ve missed my ‘Celine fix’ if you will.  Whether that be through eagerly awaiting a new album, tour, residency etc. How much I need that in my life to give me something to anticipate, something to work towards but not sure what that says about me as a person, about my life, that these Celine related gifts are, in many ways what keeps me going.  Perhaps it says more about the power of Celine on us fans than me 🤔

Anyway, I’m getting a bit too philosophical so although I may not often post on here, I have been a member of this forum for almost 20 years and I thank each and every one of you for your shared love of all things Celine.  She’s a blessing to us all and that’s why, without being selfish, we need her in our lives.  Here’s to the next chapter of her story, whatever that may be. ❤️
