Not happy with this result at all... There were many songs better than this one in my opinion.

I am pissed off now. I don't even know this song. Is this song seriously the winner? I atleast thought that Comment savior would win. I seriously don't even remember a single line, note, tone, or word in this song. So frustrating to have not had more control over the winning song.

I don't like the way the voting was done. Her team should have done it in a way where we could have actively seen the voting coming through at all times and be able to vote as much as we wanted each day. If we would have been able to see what songs were in the lead at all times, we would have been able to vote accordingly. I demand a re vote.

This would mean a song could win if there is a die hard fan who is willing to press the vote button 24/7, wouldn't be meaningful either.  

Just because it is not a song that u picked, doesn't mean it is a bad song.  At least it was the one that had the most votes.

Yep, that's the one!

And I'm very glad it won!  
I don't remember all that much about it other than that I thought at the time that the lyrics were very poetic, that it was quite melodically and harmonically interesting, and that I'd love to hear Celine sing this, but it's way too arthouse / not pop enough for it to win.  I felt it unlikely many people will vote for it.  
But clearly they did!  So I'm glad.

I guess when you're a songwriter who knows someone who knows someone in the industry ... That's how you win Anyway, I recall this song as unoriginal and boring. It'd be fair if they specifically announced which songs got the biggest amount of votes. Who knows maybe it was not us the fans who picked the winning song.,.

I voted Comment Savoir because it had Celine written all over it. But I'm actually glad they chose something else. I don't remember ALPHB at all, so at least it will be interesting to hear it

Someone said not wanting to hear Celine whistle.. Did the song include whistling, or did they mean whistle register? (is that the correct term? the weird thing mariah does with her voice? )

edit. Don't know much about mariah, just seen some not so flattering live videos here with her trying to do really really high notes and sounding like cat being... well you know.

So what will happen with the rest of the songs? I guess some of them will be resent to some other artists. Maybe we will hear them again one day. I think it's a little bit strange. I was listening them often lately while I was rating them. Some of them started to grow on me even at the beginning I found them pretty average. Now they seem gone forever except this winning one that didn't make any impact on me.

The other songs could still be recorded by Celine.  If there is one she really, REALLY loved that didn't win, I highly doubt she'd be told, "Sorry, Celine. That one didn't win.  You must choose another one."  I do hope some of the others get picked up and recorded professionally, even if not by Celine.  It would be great to hear what a "final" version of them would sound like instead of just the demos.

There was an interview with Daniel Picard on an Ottawa-area radio station this AM.
He said he started writing the song about 3 years ago, but Celine's ask inspired him to finish it.
Said the president of the jury called him 2 days ago with the good news, and that he got a thank you message from Celine as well.
Said that yes, she'll record it, but it's not guaranteed to be on the new French album.
Nice interview. He was understandably thrilled.

Interesting! If it's not on the album it would be a great b side to the first single! But I got a hunch the song will be on the album.
