So? The grammys arent supposed to be about charts.  She was presenting Album of the Year. It would make more sense to play a song from the album that won the award for album of the year.  E.G.  Its all Coming Back or All By Myself.

It becomes clear that 'Just Walk Away' and 'Love Doesn't Ask Why' should have been released as singles worldwide and promoted accordingly.

My Heart Will Go On won a grammy... just not album of the year.  I didnt say they had to play a song that won a grammy just that it would make sense.  Like a way to show off the songs that were awarded in years past.

My whole point was that I think they chose TPOL of because the anniversary of it hitting number 1 and the HD video are coming up.

They probably just chose it because it’s popular.

Songs like Real Emotion, Lovin' Proof, NLWLY take down the quality of the lyrics so much. 3 of her least streamed English songs btw.

I actually like those songs quite a bit. They give a Motown sort of feel that, to me, echoes her love of Stevie Wonder in particular, and resonates with me more than songs like TPOL or Think Twice ever did. So in a way, I see those latter two as the “blockbuster” commercial fare that helped propel the album, but ultimately are a disservice to the album as a whole. To each their own, I guess!

Lovin’ Proof and NLWLY are pure nostalgia to me. My mom used to play this album over and over again when she cleaned the house, and now I still do lol. I love grooving to LP while I’m cleaning the kitchen counters!

« The Power Of Love » is up one place at #3 on the « This Is Celine Dion » Spotify playlist (above MHWGO). Great move but in my opinion they should place it on top of that list.

Speaking about the 30th anniversary of the song’s #1 on BB Hot 100, we could make it our song to tell Céline how much we love her and launch a sort of « streaming day » for Valentine’s Day. What do you think? 😊
