Hi everyone,

I saw the show last year from the 6th row and did not get the impression at any stage that the show was lipped anywhere.  I worked in shows that featured heavy use of playback and a good ear and eye can normally spot it.  When you sit near the front (I was in the 6th row) you can see her neck move and strain while she sings and you can feel that Celine is giving it her all throughout the whole show.  The last thing that went through my mind was whether she was using playback or not.

If you are fortunate to see the show in Las Vegas just forget all those comments about this being lipped and that being lipped.  You are going to have a classy night with a lady who could so very easily retire tomorrow and concentrate on her family and we have the fortune to see whatever she decides to put on for us.  Take it from me, you will not feel cheated or short changed in any way.  I am just so sorry I never got to see A New Day live as I have worn out the Blu Ray from looking at it!  I will never get that chance as that show will probably never be repeated but she puts on an extremely classy and entertaining new show which can be enjoyed by all her fans.  If you want to spoil things with unproven smug comments about this being lipped and that being lipped then open a thread for people who want to talk about only this and stop spoiling the magic for those who are saving to go and see the show or have already made the trip and don't want their memories destroyed by these allegations.  

I had the misfortune of having tickets for the cancelled period so I went to see O instead and can see why Celine and Rene wanted to work with Dragone on A New Day.  Next time I go to Vegas she will not be on so another opportunity missed.  I would love to be one of the fortunate people who get to see this coming run and hope that all do have a fantastic time and soak up all the joy and atmosphere provided by the top female entertainer of our generation.  It will be a long time before anyone can touch Celine and we need to appreciate her while we can.  How lucky we are to be living now.

First of all, I like the ideea of covering Rolling in the deep for the show.The song is brilliant, known and loved bye millions of people, including Celine.And why is bad ideea?Because Adele is theese day's star, because she is very famous, or because the song isw very young?Its not the first time of covering "young"songs, like Falling into you, Taking chances.And Adele, yes she has melodies, that are similars to Celines music.She is a versatile artist.
And thank God, I'm happy that she cuts the Jackson medley.We/she need some fresh music, new songs even if its covers.And to pay tribute for somebody, for so long, its a little bit fumbling ideea.I pray that she will cut the Bond medley and put some newer music, maybe Just walk away or Surprize surprize(my big dream ).
The ideea of changing the producers(english album), is good, its a new era for and of Celine.And the Ne-yo duet is a big dream of mine.Some fresh rnb style.I think that the song will be like the Ne-yo Rihanna duet Hate that i love u.It fits Celines music.
On the Hungarian forum we have a good source, a guy who news many of poeple from Sony, he works at Sony Hungary.He said the Water and flame will be also covered for the album but he doesnt know in which form.
So more exided news will come.
My old wish is: that Celine makes a duet with Stevie Wonder.He is a class, Celine to.she need to do big duets with classic stars like him, or even Elton, etc.She needs young fresh music, but oldstyle music to.She is not that young chick like Britney or Lady gaga, she is a classy lady with big songs.
So the whole album concept is great.And bout the Vegas covers.That songs are the greatest from the show to cover.Just imagine Open arms, At 17, How do u keep... and Overjoyed with Stevie...just great.
And after all, I have only one wish:a duet with Steve Perry from the old Journey...but who knows?

I believe i read on here, assuming i didn't misinterpret the article, that Celine will be singing Rolling in the Deep during her show, and replacing the Michael Jackson medley. Did I read that right?

This is how Celine was during the 2nd and 3rd year of "A New Day" she was doing several covers as usual. Remember guys, it's Celine freakin Dion (Sorry I felt the need!) the woman who covers a song and makes it sound ten times better. Whitney's biggest song was a cover. Tina Turner's break out solo hit was Let's Stay Together, also a cover along with Proud Mary, The Best, Private Dancer, Paradis is Here. Tina is like Celine with the covers, and most fans love them. Cher's I Found Someone and We All Sleep Alone are covers and she opens all of her shows with I still haven't found what I'm look for which is a cover.

I loved Cher's vegas show because every leg was a complete change up and most of it was good except the last two, those were horrible. But I know Celine is going to do what she wants to do and Rene is going to tell her what he thinks is best, though I do believe in recent years Celine is deciding a little bit more now.  And If I am not mistaken there were several fans who wanted her to do covers of new songs so here it is. Not to mention, we are going to start getting new songs from the album, that is what we should be worrying about.

Let's just see what happens, I would rather her do a full version of Rolling in The Deep then a one verse and chorus of Man in the Mirror. Celine never really said Whitney was an idol or mentor like MJ was, and I just wish people would let Whitney rest, I hate the tributes at awards shows because all they ever sing is "I will always love you." Whitney had several songs that were much better than that. However, even I must say Celine singing "Saving all my love for you" or "Try It on my own" would sound awesome.

Where did she place the song at in the show? Is it exactly where the MJ medley is or did they move a couple around? And it sounded great, our Celine is back!
