I actually think the worst channel is "Matthew Sharp", who uploads fake "rare files" that are just old bootlegs that he edited or mislabelled. what a weirdo!!!

Wasn't this the same kid that posted the "A New Day" show someone on the forum recorded, I know the show was late or mid 2007?
I know I reported the kid and posted a comment on his page, it's kinda hard not to figure out when we hear you cheering Celine on and it sounds exactly the same as your recording.

I'm ok, even I like the covers of 30's to 80's more or less famous songs... because Celine's inevitable future is to be a Classic Diva singing classic songs but to cover the last year RECORD HIT... and such a perfect song signature of another SO FAMOUS new singer... recognized in the whole world... I recomended to concentrate in covers of unknown like Taking Chances... or in classics american songbook ..
In the other hand, I like the Idea that Celine has put the spot in this style... I hope the new album is going to be closer to this new brit female singers style that sounds so good.
Well, I still think that Adle is overrated....

And to the person who mentioned that most news site responses to stories about Celine are 50% negative... That may be so. But if you read her fan sites, it's more like 80% negative. Really, non-fans aren't nearly as critical of Celine as her fans are.
I don't think you've spent much time off the forum then. Constructive criticism that comes from people who love you enough to post as members on your forum is vastly different from the type of venom that is spewed at Celine on a regular basis everywhere else.

We're getting two new albums along with the correponding photoshoots and videos; I get to listen to Celine sing a wonderful rendition of a GREAT SONG (and the audience seems to respond wonderfuly too!), and I sooooooo don't care about covers. Studio versions of great songs, how can I complain? Plus we'll get plenty of new songs too by great current producers (maybe not so as far as the french album is concerned but I can't complain until I've listened to at least one song, now can I?). I'm so past the point of trying to role play Rene in my head. I just seat back and enjoy.

Celine Dion Covers Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ (Video)
By Juliette Dawson on June 12th, 2012

Celine Dion may have made her way back onto the music scene with a cover of “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.
In recent years, Celine Dion retired herself to Las Vegas, as many other famous singers have done in the past.

But Dion made it clear she isn’t old news. ”I love Adele so much, she’s amazing,” she told the Las Vegas crowd during a recent concert before the distinct beat of “Rolling in the Deep” began playing and the crowd erupted into cheers.
From the moment the “My Heart Will Go On” singer begins, the song sounds amazing. But her voice takes the cover to new levels when she belts out ”We could’ve had it all.”
It wouldn’t be surprising if this cover goes viral and becomes Celine’s biggest hit in years. Though everyone’s known that Celine could sing like no other, she hasn’t exactly been know to have much soul in her singing.
However, not everyone was impressed with Celine’s version.
Jory commented on Gawker and said, “She sounds good, but she’s a cheese ball. Personally, I don’t hear any connection to the content, just a well-trained vocalist. But I’ve felt that about all her music, so I’m just a hater. I mean, this is the same woman you could pay a small fortune for tickets to watch her lip-sync a Vegas show.”
But GregorMendel said, “I had no idea Celine had a soul, until now.”
What do you think, does Celine’s cover of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” make you want to go buy tickets to her Las Vegas show now?

Covering Adele: Just another reason Celine Dion is amazing.
None other than Céline Dion decided to start “Rolling in the Deep” this past weekend as part of her Las Vegas show, as first reported by Gawker.
I’m shocked this cover took so long to happen. The two women’s vocals are so similar, and many of Adele’s tracks would feel right at home on Let’s Talk About Love or Falling Into You. I especially love the darker tone Dion adds to the chorus.
Just when I thought that after over a year on the charts I’m finally moving on from “Rolling in the Deep,” I’m back in. I’m getting chills. I want to dance. I want to cry. It’s all too much — in the best possible way.

Resuming her Sin City residency, Dion -- she of "My Heart Will Go On," and other soaring ballads -- covered Adele's ubiquitous hit "Rolling in the Deep" over the weekend, and she's probably the only artist who could successfully pull it off.
"I love Adele so much, she's amazing," cooed Dion to the crowd, which cheered back in approval.

Her version of the song is a near-perfect match for Adele's sultry and powerful original, but with a touch more Dion-esque drama. (You can imagine the Grammy winner pounding her chest, "My Heart Will Go On"-style, in an emotional display of stage theatrics.)
Which begs the question: who sang it best? Listen to Dion's interpretation, and leave your comments below.

Céline Dion Covers Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ Kills It, Of Course
Rich Juzwiak
Céline Dion started a new leg of her latest Las Vegas residency show last weekend and her setlist included a cover of Adele's ubiquitous "Rolling in the Deep," which you can hear above.
What I love about this is how well someone who is widely considered to be the antithesis of cool can slide back in and completely own something as culturally approved as the contemporary standard that is "Rolling in the Deep." Adele, with her objectively pristine voice and ability to move units like no one else (in its 67th week on the Billboard 200, 21 sits at No. 2 with a bullet), has helped loosen up the stigma on adult contemporary music that arose toward the end of the '90s. She's a natural descendant of the likes of Céline, but now Adele's the one opening doors. If this goes viral (and it's looking like it will), it'll become Céline's most widely heard performance in at least a decade.
I value Céline Dion mostly as a persona, but vocally the woman is beastly. This is a nice reminder.
Her cult is also really fascinating — I'll never stop recommending Carl Wilson's Céline Dion's Let's Talk About Love: A Journey to the End of Taste. It's not just a sharp assessment of the polarizing effect of this woman and her mostly milquetoast music, but it's also an overall ingenious exploration of popular taste versus critical consensus. The contradictions are sometimes astounding.

First of all, I've been a member of this forum for a year and a half, and though I don't post a ton, I read it everyday. I lurked for a year or two before I joined the forum. I've been around here plenty.
Constructive criticism is fine. If you read my posts, I criticize her constructively. A lot of folks on here do. But there are some people who jump down her throat no matter what she does. Celine's doing another 50 year old cover? BORING! Do something new and fresh! Celine's doing Adele? What, is she crazy, taking a recent hit and trying to sing it like she's hip or something? What, Celine's doing a new album full of Vegas covers? That's boring--she needs to do something more current. What, Celine's doing a new album with songs by Adele's songwriters and singing with Ne-Yo? What, does she think she's hip now? Why doesn't she just go back to belting 90s love ballads? D'and on d'and on d'and on.
That's not constructive.
And honestly, you can't judge public sentiment about Celine based on internet comments and internet trolls. Everyone I've ever known in my life except for one thought Celine was a great singer--including lots of *straight* guys and men. I've only ever met one person who expressed negative feelings towards her, but even he warmed up when I played "Ziggy" for him (he loves French). The Internet gives you a really distorted view of what real people actually think about Celine. She's nowhere near being the most derided in history.

I agree, and sorrrrrrrrrrrrry!!
I think this is a very clever marketing/publicity strategy though- she's working with Adele's producers, obviously going for that 'sound' and we can hopefully expect great things from the album. I hope the first single is massive.
