Well, the other "ANDHC" editions are not cardboard, at least European ones. They are both in plastic cases, the European/US collector's edition has a cardboard package around the plastic case, with the silver artwork.
So the Japanese "ANDHC" collector's edition's package looks like Japanese "TC" package?
I guess I slowly made my decision: I'll orer the Japanese SACD and the Japanese collector's edition than.

Thank you for your patience in replying to all my questions, hehe! I know I'm going nuts about it but I just like to know all the details possible, hehe!

Plus, I suppose the "remastered" collector's edition it's only the one released in 2008 (no matter whether it's Japanese, European or US edition). My collector's edition was released shortly after releasing of the original album, back in 2002, so it's surely not "remastered". But yeah, there's not much to remaster, in my opinion.

I would like to see new, remastered editions of her early CDs - Incognito, Unison, The Colour Of My Love... I would sooo love to hear these recordings with some amazing sound, maybe even in 5.1!
I hoped for reissuing of "Unison" as for 20 years after but unfortunately nothing happened... Maybe I have to wait until it'll be 25 years after, lol...

When I said "just like the other editions" I refer of course to the other "collector's editions", since you asked for the ANDHC Japanese Collector's edition . All of them come in cardboard case.

No, they are not. I have the European ANDHC Collector's Edition and it's deffinitely in plastic case. There is only a cardboard cover over the plastic with the silver artwork but it's not a cardbord/digipack package.

Sorry Dionesque, you are confusing the 2002 limited edition with the 2008 Collector's edition!!   

It's very different! The limited editions from 2002 came in plastic case and yes, with a cardboard slipcase around them (except for the US release, don't know why). But the 2008 Collectors editions (only 3 different as far as I know -US, EU and Japan versions) came all of them in those "eco-friendly" cardboard packages!

Now one more question: what are the differences between the ANDHC Collector's Edition from 2002 and the Collector's Edition from 2008, other than the package? Does the DVD have different content? Did they enhance the sound on audio CD in any hearable way? Or is it really only the new package and everything else is exactely the same as on 2002 edition?

Geez I thought you already had a copie of the 2008 collectors edition! Basically the main difference is the DVD contents, that you have the videos for GTSW and HYEBIL reunited in the same DVD. The making of the album and photo gallery are also there, but that's all.

No, there's any noticeable difference with the so called "remastered" sound (as expected, because what a disc from 2002 needs to have remastered?? so stupid ).

The booklet has had the Las Vegas shows engagement removed (fortunately), so there's only Céline's acknowledgements for the album now. Also, the RC photo collage is not inside the booklet now, but inside the cardboard package. And there's a special introduction by Chuck Taylor about the album, with a beautiful picture of a beach's shore.

Nothing else new, though to me it was worth to buy only for the 2 new videoclips and the beautiful package (especially in the Japanese edition like I said)

No, I only have the 2002 editions (regular and collector's). Actually I didn't pay attentions to new releases on this album, that's why I totally missed the 2008 reissue, lol!
Now I'm certain to order the Japanese SACD and Japanese Collector's Edition from 2008.

OMG I'm listening right now the SACD version of All The Way for the very first time in my life... it's OR-GAS-MIC

You can listen instruments that were never there, background vocals that you never noticed in the CD version, I even noticed new vocals of Céline in BATB that were never there!

I'm currently listening IACBTMN, it's like rediscovering the song again! There are some violins there that you cannot appreciate in the CD... fantastic!

EDIT:

LCMM: the opening choirs sound absolutely different from the CD version, and there are many more new sounds that we could never tell there were used in the CD version!

Both of them actually!   In fact I was looking for a Blu-ray player since months ago but I wanted to make sure it could play SACD format, and bingo, there are a few brands that produce their BD players compatible with this format.

I had to do a little research until I found a player or a brand that could read this format, because its not very popular here and unfortunately due to the massive piracy crisis in the industry they produce very few titles in this format nowadays, mainly for classical music and jazz

Sony manufactures BD players which include this rare format (since they were the creators of SACD next with Philips) The range of models BDP-Sxxx all can read SACD, they're quite economical and easy to use But if you have a higher budget, DENON also has Blu-ray players and specific CD/SACD units to play these discs (however, they're very expensive)

By the way, I found the Japanese SACD for "All The Way... A Decade Of Song". The catalogue number is ESGA 504 but unfortunatelly it seems to be out of print and the copies you can find at secon-hand sellers cost way over 100 euros...

From the picture, I assume that Japanese edition of All The Way... SACD doesn't have multichannel mix, do it? Since the obi and sticker show only stereo.

The SACD format means by itself that the mix is for multichannel sound experience, so I'm sure the Japan SACD includes also a multichannel mix

Not really Javito, I have Mariah's #1's SACD and it's just stereo. SACD is about higher bit rate not necessarily multichannel mixing.

That's weird. I thought this format was created to provide a multichannel experience of the music album. If its just another version in stero without multichannel mix, then what's the use to call it SACD? It should be just another CD right?

Really? I remember that #1's DVD has 5.1 mix. It's a shame that they not include this in SACD.

Not really. SACDs have different audio format compared to ordinary audio CDs which make them can provide more quality than CDs. The comparison table may be easier to understand.   http://en.wikipedia....o_CD#Technology

You need SACD player unless you have PS3. PS4 doesn't support this format for some reason.

No, a SACD only plays in SA equipment. I have a few SACD'S but not any player I tried could play them. Not even a Bluray.

You can not play ANDHC or ATW, but this one can be played. I've tried.

I think this one can work on a normal bluray player. Because it can work on a CD player.
This one has two layers, one for CD and the other for SACD.

Hey guys! Has anyone here bought the Falling Into You SACD and played it in a compatible SACD player? I was thinking of buying one but I kinda need feedback. I have the All the Way SACD and I really liked the reworked tracks. What I meant by 'reworked' is that, for example on It's all coming back to me now, the effects are reduced (if not totally removed) and new instruments have been added —there's a cello now! and it sounded more acoustic and live. If walls could talk has a proper ending instead of fading out and Beauty and the Beast has some never-before-heard Celine hums, probably muted on the 1992 track. So there, I would like to know if the Falling Into You SACD got the same treatment. Any input would be appreciated!

I recently got one copie and to my disappointment, I didn't notice any major differences The surround mix doesn't sound like that, really, it's like having the stereo sound through all the speakers but I was unable to notice/hear new or hidden instruments (unlike the All The Way and ANDHC SACDs).
