People don't usually do their own songs on Glee. Olivia Newton-John did but that's because she was playing herself, and not a character like Charice is.

I wonder why some Celine fans post a vid of Charice then bashing her based on performance.  It is expected for a fans to praise his idol, but why bashing the other. Here is the review of somebody who is not a fan of Celine which I think more credible (not biased) the review is based on  the recent concert of Celine at MSG, Enjoy!!!!

It's highly probable that you are a Charice fan which is why you took the time to start a topic regarding her in your very second post. From the links that you have provided, I have been following Dan Aquilante's reviews (NY Post) and he definitely doesn't like MOR power ballads nor singers who are pop. He doesn't do his homework before writing his "reviews" so I don't hold him credible for his scythe towards Celine (or other singers for the matter)

I think this line from his "review" says it all:

One could deduce that you indirectly did because you posted a negative biased article towards Celine. Even articles from top New York newspapers will have a bias, that's how printed media works. So if we're being technical, you're also being bias.

as a fan of charice and see her biased and people always comparing her to Celine or Whitney'
I do love Charice she is one of the greatest voices out there now and better than many'
She idolizes Celine and Whitney' but Celine the most and for that she is compared and i don't think
it is fair that she is because she has a big voice and can sing most of the songs that today singers can't
What i meant in The Glee is that she is singing a Celine song instead of her own' maybe it is suppose to be
cause she doesn't have many songs only the one new international album and she is suppose to be rival
to lea Michelle' Not herself' that lays the diffirence' and David told Charice that she would be known for
her first name only and he said that same thing to Celine in 1987' That means...David knowes what he
talks about when regonizing big talent' like Charice and he sees her as the new "Celine" but in her own right

I personally think she is trying to sound like other artists. I don't think she just has a natual voice that sounds like celine's...IMO

Charice voice doesn't sound like Celine's. More of like Whitney's. I enjoy Charice singing cos she gives out her all. i get excited when she attempts to sing a song higher than the original artist did. here's an example:



Check the highest notes for this song, so high that Whitney might not even be able to sing as high as what Charice did.

If you don't wanna see the whole video just start at 1:21 and at 1:41.
