so you are coming to the party?

i have to call them cause the party starts at 7 but i dont think i want to spend 5 hours there.  id rather come at like 10 but i want to make sure i get a copy of the book.

Kathy, I just called and we can get there whenever, but it goes from 5 - 11pm and they start handing out books at 12:01.  They're going to have wand making, a Weeping willow and a freaking Night Bus!! (probably one of those purple NYU trolleys :lol: )

I've seen it yesterday.... we missed the first ten minutes, so that was a pitty, cos you loose a key scene... the one with the dementors... I liked the movie, I guess it's different when you've read the book, but I haven't but of course a book is ALWAYS better then the movie! :whistling:

I liked the darkness of the movie... I liked Umbrigde (the woman playing her is an amazing actress) and I liked to see all the great actors and actresses (like Maggie Smith and Emma THomson) but it's too bad they didn't have really big parts in this movie!

And just like Pirates of the carabien part 2, this movie is a 'inbetween' one... I think part 6 and of course part 7 will be way more spectecular! :yes:

But they have to hurry, cos they're growing up sooooooo fast! That kissing scene was sweet, but the scenes that give me more of :devil2: like thoughts were the ones where Harry was sweating and mouning in his bed, when he had those nightmares!  :giggle:

I loved it! I saw it yesterday with a friend... Too bad they cut too many scenes, but they don't have the choice... And that's exactly how I imagined the Ministry and the scene with Harry, Dumbledore and Voldemort at the end  :w00t:

it's great love it, and yes i agree they cut many part from the book... but also i think they could just add a bit more though... maybe in the dvd they'll have some more...

Did J.K. read only the 1st chapter at midnight at National History Museum?? I wasn't able to hear the live streaming but now i went to the Bloomsbury website and there is a video but it's only the 1st chapter... Now I'm getting even more curious!!!

Yes! I've finished it! I started reading at 7.40 am yesterday, and finished at 02.27 am today (GMT+7)!! It was really, really wonderful and fantastic beyond all others!!! I love the way J.K. Rowling always tricked the readers into some misunderstanding ideas they would conjured up in their minds, and then surprises them with conflicts and twists!!!

Anyway, the person I admire most now was not Harry, Ron, or Hermione. Can you believe it? I really admire the Half-Blood Prince! Severus Snape!!! He's so lovely!!! You might think that I've gone crazy or anything. Well, you'll soon find out afterwards and you'll see!!!

I'm quite sad now Harry Potter has come to an end. I hope J.K. would bring up another great book that glued the reader's nose and hands upon touching it!!! All hail J.K. Rowling!!!

Oh you haven't gone crazy, I just LOVE Snape! I have no idea why... I just have a good feeling about him (no matter what happened in the 6th book...). I haven't read the new book yet but I just feel like he is a good guy.  :wub:

i just finished the book lol. it was rather confusing when i read the book cuz i kept thinking "Dumbledore's the bad guy...no wait he's good, bad, good, bad then good" this is THE BEST Harry Potter book EVER! HANDS DOWN! loved the whole thing.

UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!

I finished a few hours ago after sobs and fear and nerve racking moments. I just loved it. It was SO MUCH BETTER than I could have ever expected. It was brilliant from the beggining to the end, especially the end. I was so involved I hardly moved, I had my heart JUMPING all through the book, it was breath taking. I can't believe is over though. But it definately was an amazing finish to a beautiful longtime journey!

I liked it, but its not my favorite book.  I felt that in the middle, a lot of nothing happened.  I guess I was feeling a little of what Ron was feeling, lol.  But it was still good and the ending battle was great!  The epilogue was a little hokey with all of the children's names, but it was nice to finally get closure.  So sad that its all over :(
