I am SO excited for this, but completely dreading it at the same time.  I just dont want these books to end!  I hope she continues writing (not HP necessarly).

I need to re-read Book 5, but I've had no time.  I'm going to see the movie this week, but its never as in depth as the book.  And I want to re-read Book 6 as well because, like Kathy, I barely remember any of it aside from THE event.  

I pre-ordered mine from the Scholastic (the books publishing company) headquarters in NYC.  There's going to be a huge party starting at 7, lol.

Same here! I have bought Harry Potter 6 here in English and I really need to read it before the 7th comes out... But first I will go and see the 5th this week.

I have the bad feeling I'm going to be spoiled. My useless of a sister looks for the ending on the internet and tells me just to piss me off. Yes, there are people this sad and pathetic. This year I'll try to spend the weekend out to read alone.

I'm dying to read it!!! Pity it's too expensive for me to buy it... As my sister loves it and she doesn't know much of English, I'll have to buy one in English and another in Portuguese when it comes out... And as a broken student I can't have it ... But let's see what people on the net can do for us!

Elaine, prices are going down as the release date approaches. I saw at fnac.br the book for 68 reais - I know it's not cheap, but it's cheaper than other sites. And at fnac you get a shirt + a squeeze. I remember months ago the book was over 120 reais and now it's 80 something.
Also, at livrariacultura.com.br if you join to its club (for free) you get 20% discount. although you can in 3x only while on the others sites you can pay in 6x, but it's more expensive in places like americanas.com, submarino etc.
Anyway, just keep your eyes "open" heheh I'm sure the price will get down and the book will be not that expensive.
Well, you can ask for a birthday present! hehehe

Yeah, Tal, J.K must continue writing. I think she said that there definitely won't be Harry Potter after book 7 but I guess she'll write something else, she just won't be able not to write anything anymoooooooore. Which is good for us

Anyway, I liked her version... Some things are kind of unreal, but some really make sense!
