Oh Dobby! When he started talking about being with his friends, I diedddd. And he was just so small wrapped in the shroud. Like a little baby! He was AMAZINGLY funny unscrewing the chandelier though. hahaha. wow. Squeak squeak....! And why did Dobby help Kreacher?! No no no!

It always bothers me when there are so many facts rearranged or combined for time purposes. I noticed lots of things that weren't "right" and I hate that. It's like lying. You tell one lie then you have to make it work out to the same conclusion so you have to tell another lie farther down :lmao: Harry was supposed to tell the goblin to tell them it's a fake (the sword) and then he disapparates out with them...that's crucial to the next part...how is the goblin going to help them with the bank if he's not at Shell Cottage?! And Wormtail....his silver hands? How are they going to get the goblin back to Shell Cottage? He doesn't know about it. Are they just going to leave that out? Bc they have to have him for the next part.... ugh. ha

I did love how they did the tale of the 3 brothers. Beautiful. Loved how the cloak sparkled. Harry was supposed to use his cloak a lot more than he did in the film...he didn't use it at all did he? They practically lived in it in the book. And what's with them walking everywhere? I noticed they were hiding out in the ten for weeks not months. Ron didn't have time to heal in the film version bc they changed it so they couldn't apparate anywhere but that's how they traveled in the book. Popping in and out. I could go on and on bt I really won't :lmao:  I'm a big fan of keeping things the same. especially when there's no need to change it. Like when Ghost Scary Dumbledore pops out at them at Grimmauld Palce. The phrase to stop him has to have the word kill in it. I don't even remember what they said but it didn't have "kill" in it. Now if they are going to say something, why not say what they are supposed to say? Just sayin.

It was great- it went by faster than I thought. I thought the dancing with Hermione scene was really awkward. Like he was going to kiss her at any second! And just why didn't Harry steal Mad Eye's Eye out of the door? Okay. Enough criticism ha.  yay Harry! We went as Ginny and Harry. I drew a bolt on Matthew's head with my eyeliner. He just loved that.

I can't wait to see more Dumbledore and Snape action in the next film!

That is my problem with the movies too: they change too many things and leave out too much detail. I mean understand that they have a problem with time, but still...

I have to wait until next Friday. SA is always behind with everything...

Saw it tonight. Thought it was really really well done. One of the best movies I've seen so far this year. (1) Frida's GF doesn't look so good in this film tho :P
SPOILER! --Click here to view-- | --Cliquez ici pour voir--
(2) I thought Dobby's death was very sad! It touched me. How could it not after what he says to HP and then the Queen of Hearts throws a dagger at him. Awhh poor Dobby, what a loyal elf to the end!

1) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! OMG :mdr:

2) Me too :( The whole theater went "aaaaw"

Loved how they did the Tale of the 3 Brothers! And the 7 Potters was great! :D
And I was tearing up within the first 10 minutes of the movie -- HEDWIG  And when Dobby died . . . I can't even . . . :crybaby: (1) I also really loved all the Hermione/Ron moments!

I don't know how I'm going to handle part 2! Between Fred, Lupin, Tonks . . . OMG, so many tears lol. I'll probably just sob through the whole thing hahaha

1) Haha yeah, they did a great job with their characters

1) Nope, he didn't, and how are those who never read the books going to know that Harry already has one of the deathly hallows? I would've liked the "How many cloaks have you seen like that, Miss Granger?" part included in the movie.
2) I don't believe they said anything at all, he just disappeared in front of them
3) Haha, me too! When I first heard about the scene I think they were supposed to talk about Ron and Ginny? That would've made more sence, now people are just going to think that Harry is in love with her or something and that there's a love triangle *sigh*

I can't believe noone has mentioned this scene, that was one of those I looked forward to the most:

SPOILER! --Click here to view-- | --Cliquez ici pour voir--

The "Harry & Hermione" in the locket, wasn't that part great?! Looooved Emma in that scene, but I missed the dialogue between Ron and (the real) Harry after that. Again, they make it look like there's a love triangle

All in all, I was satisfied with everything but the score. It seemed vey mediocre ans sometimes it didn't even fit the scenes...Dumbledor's farewell in the previous movie was brilliant, the scene of Dobby's death, however, didn't evoke any emotions in me, largly because the music was just meh... -_-  There isn't much going on, but it's the same way in the book, so, for the first time ever I don't have anything to say against the script. The jokes were funny, the acting was good, the special effects were nice, the way they did the tale about the 3 brothers was AWESOME! Everything was good, but not particularly mesmerizing. I'd give it a 7.

Now compare it with this and tell me which one fits the mood of loss more and which one is more likely to make you well up.
When it comes to something you love you have different (higher) standarts for it and, while perfectly fine in itself, the music in the latest movie didn't move me.

It's so true!  :sofunny:

I just came from watching it I thought it was good but seems a little out of the "harry potter" element with no Hogwarts this year! Or Prof. McGonagall!

Can't wait for Pt. 2!!  :-D

Did anyone see Deathly Hallows Part 2 last night??

I DID!! 12:30am, baby lol. It was unbelievable! I LOVED every second of it :D McGonagall is amazing, the trio was flawless, and ALAN RICKMAN deserves every award ever. All the awards. Snape has a special place in my heart

This last one was pretty emotional for me and all my friends. I mean, we grew up with Harry Potter. We were the same age as Harry is in the Sorcerer's Stone when we all read it. J.K. Rowling is truly brilliant and I hope she knows how many people appreciate her flawless writing and storytelling -- Thank you for a magical childhood

Thanks for the adventure, Harry!

Yup!  I think it was fantastic - a bit rushed but fine nonetheless.  I have always kept the books and movies as separate things in my mind and I don't harp over all the differences.

Sad that it's over

this movie was sooooooo good! the best of all the Harry Potter movies I have seen so far!
I read some reviews of people thinking the 3d did not matter. Well it depends on which cinema you visit. I went to the cinema in town which has digital projection. And oh my dion, what an amazing difference this brings! So much depth, things look so real and sometimes even things floating through the audience!  I even think the 3d was better used than in Avatar!
How I enjoyed these movies ever since the first one came in cinema, together with lord of the rings. It was an amazing time and I will miss it.
Not to have the next harry potter each year is a loss. But this last movie was a really good ending.

I loved it too. It hurts knowing it really is the last one, because it feels like my whole childhood is really over now, but they made a nice ending to it. I loved the McGonagall/Snape moment. And the special effects were amazing.
And oh, how I lóve Snape. I really think there should be a movie about Snape. Alan Rickman is a hero (and a damn sexy one as well.)

According to the new numbers released by Box Office Mojo today, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 is now the number three all-time film worldwide having grossed $1.13 billion.

It passed Toy Story 3 and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King to take hold of third place. Only Avatar and Titanic have made more.
