I don't know if she would return to Vegas.  I wish that she would.  Keep in mind that she did say it was hard to "sing in the desert".  Another Vegas would be amazing, but she would definitley need to get a different set list, meaning one that does not repeat any of the songs that were previously sang in Vegas.  Promote Taking Chances but after her tour I would love for her to have another baby before she does anything else.

No to Vegas. It will ruin her legacy as a recording artist. No for those big shows, we have already seen them (live or on dvd). Yes to intimate concerts in different cities of the US, Canada and Europe

The point for vegas is so she doesn't have to travel. Is there somewhere else that you'd rather she base? Somewhere that has the money to spend on her, and her show?

Well she doesn't have to do 100 concert a year, she has enough money for 10 generations of children who don't need to work. she could do 20 every year by selecting different towns and present shows where her voice is the only thing we go to see and not the visuals. she can do that when she is 50-55 but not now. she still has a lot going for her.

The only problem with this is what happens when something is as great as what A New Day... was.  The general public starts to "expect" certain things from a person - and usually when they don't get it they complain.  The general public would be going to her show expecting something similar to Las Vegas, which is sad.  It's like the so-so curse of "My Heart Will Go On."  The song is beautiful - yes.  The song helped her career go further than it was headed - yes.  However, now it's a song that pretty much "must" be performed every night or she must fear the rath of thousands of people who paid money to see her sing her signature hit.  It would be like Bette Midler not performing "Wind Beneath My Wings" or Cher not performing "If I Could Turn Back Time."

Personally I'd like to see a more intimate setting happen.  I'd like for Celine to do the things that she wants to do such as a concert where people request whatever song they want and she sings it.

All I can say is, "Who knows where the road will lead her, only a fool would say, but if we just all love her, she's gonna love us all the way."

I can't see her travelling for a few years after this tour. I'd love a more intimate setting without visuals - just a band and a couple of back up singers. But she's too big still. I think the only time she'll do this is when she's a lot older. And personally i think she'll retire for good rather than play to a few hundred people a few times a year. I'd love a show where we could pick what we hear etc, but it wouldn't just be die-hard fans that'll see the show. They're the ones that'll want more than just her voice. Its not Celine's fault. Its the way concerts are now. Look at Madonna, Kylie ,Christina etc. Its all about special effects and glamourous outfits etc.  Not necessarily right, but certainly true. Perhaps we should all just wait and see. Nothing will be decided until after the tour and maybe not even until after the IVF so lets wait, and hope that whatever she decides it'll be great news that everyone will support and be happy about. No matter what, i'll support her.

sigh she should really just hold concerts for her fans. the price of a ticket should be how much useless trivia you know about her. and then we can have our unplugged concert.

Rene said nothing is signed yet. Our primary goal is to have another baby. We will know that very soon, in next Feb or Mar. It won't be a permanent show as Celine already made. Celine might sing two weeks per six months there. She won't establish in Las Vegas again.

I would love to see Celine do an "unplugged show" or "By Request show" but I guess they would be very difficult for her to do as she would need to remember all the words to all of her hundreds of songs and that is just impossible.I just want to see Celine do something she wants to do and not told what to do because of the financial influences.

I would personally like to see a Vegas run again once Celine has had a break and given her attention to having another Child. I don't think that it will kill her career at all if the decision to go back is made.

Right now its all speculation and i will wait til it is confirmed;-)

For the moment I am going to start saving just in case as I am not missing Her in Vegas again ;-)

In a paper today there is a story about Michael Jackson and his debts, they say a vegas show would be perfect for him and use Celine as an example of how successful it could be ($215,000,000 they said)

If she did return and it wasnt as successful then people wouldnt think of her as being the most successful Vegas artist anymore

I want her to stay away from doing another A New Day-ish show in Vegas. Yes, we know it was all so successful, but i'm worried about her vocal condition there. She had to lip so many songs there(do not turn this into a lipping thread), and most of the songs she sang live were thin and nasally a lot of the time. I'd rather her do something like a New York City show. New York City is famous for it's big shows, so why couldn't Celine do something there? She did that for Vegas, so why not for NYC? There she could sing more songs live and maybe even sing more fan favorites and less covers/greatest hits.

I wouldn't want her to just do that, anyway. I'd want her to still release albums and all that, and not be confined to New York City like she was in Las Vegas. If she was to do that, it could be less shows every week, like 3 shows a week or something for 2 years. But before any of that happens, she needs to take a break at the end of this tour, otherwise she's going to have a Mariah-esque breakdown with all of the stress she has.

In an article about Céline being honoured soon at the ADISQ René said that they have not signed any deal yet with Vegas as of now.  
He said this offer was there since a long time for them(before leaving Vegas even) and if it was for Ceasars Céline could sing there for the rest of her life if she wanted to.
But René said that the offer would be like for three years. They will return to Vegas one day for sure but Céline would NOT do a permanent show anymore in Vegas, it would be something like going there to sing for three weeks every six months(like most singers do), something like that.  He told the press they didn't intend to ever move back to Vegas.
So, I don't think we should speculate anymore about that, René didn't know now when and if they will accept THIS offer because their most important project is the baby but they will know if it works pretty soon in March probably. But he was very positive about Céline NOT doing a permanent show anymore in Vegas, not moving there and that it would not be the same kind of deal(meaning not for a long time neither).
