Oh wow, that's awesome that someone managed to get a recording of it! I had thought about doing that...but was afraid I'd be kicked out. But when Celine appeared on the screen, I was so tempted to take out my iPhone and sneak a bit of video!

Occasionally though they may offer tickets to TV tapings etc which of course are rare. And the preferred seating for concerts does make it worth it when Celine is touring / in Vegas.

Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.

I just realized that March 15, 2011 falls on a Tuesday. Does anyone else think it is weird that she would start the new show during the week and not on the weekend???

Maybe it's weird, maybe it's not

Rumblings are intensifying that Caesars Palace executives and AEG concert producers are readying a Celine Dion announcement next week. I’m told but can’t confirm anywhere officially that next Wednesday, we’ll be given news that Ticketmaster will begin selling advance tickets for Celine’s return to The Colosseum on the Strip. I’m still told that the Web site accidentally flashed a March 25, 2011, start date for her new concert run.

let's suppose that it's true, the show starts March 25, 2011 and tickets go on sale February 10, 2010... What if Céline does get pregnant? She hasn't had the fifth try yet... She could still be pregnant before Spring! And then there's no way in hell she's gonna perform only a few months after the baby is born... What will they do with the sold tickets? What about the show production? Is everything pushed back? Will the money be refunded...
If this all is true, then I really don't understand why Céline would commit herself to so much pressure!

I have a feeling that Céline has given up getting pregnant some time ago and that the news about the 5th attempt is just being broadcasted to get the attention of the rumors...
Since it is confirmed by Céline herself that she will start on March 15, 2011 I doubt she's giving it another try... I expect an official annoucement on the 10th (maybe even just before Oprah will be aired) that confirmes the news about the return to Vegas and that every try to get pregnant was unsuccesfull but that she's very happy and fortunate to have a nice son and a nice husband.
But we'll have to wait another 5 days for that.

Then they're gonna hire Gypsy Miller for a few months, noone's gonna notice (especially not on the new tiny little stage, and with an enormous screen noone uses anymore)

and Stijn, if she's given up on a second child, and only uses it to create a buzz for her new show, then I lost all faith in her!

It is happening. In fact she herself confirmed the news on the Oprah show that will be aired next week. I've said it before and I'll say it again...
Vegas is the best thing for herself in the first place and in second place also for her fans. She can perform at HOME (she owns a house in Vegas you know) en on her terms. She can be every single day with her family, she can sleep every single day in her own bed, she's at one of the locations she can call "home"...
It is selfish for us to ask, no even to demand, that she needs to get touring again because we want to see her on our terms in our place... Think about HER for once will you? Touring arround the globe is very stressfull even when you have the luxury of traveling with your own private jet, driving with the most luxuries cars available and sleeping in the most luxuries hotels arround the world. Think about her health, her sons health, her husbands health and also her aging mothers health... Think about her for once and not only about yourself...
Las Vegas is not the end of the world, actually it's a pretty cheap place to visit. Yes, airline tickets does cost money but if you really look for it you can find some decent bargain fares... You can even sleep in Vegas for a couple of dollars a night, something that's not always possible arround the world. You can eat as much as you want also for a couple of bucks. Travel is a bit expensive but Vegas can be as cheap as you want or as expensive as you want. It's the best location for this to happen (although I'm never going to visit Vegas during the summer due the heat
And although I wont doubt she will get a huge amount of money for it you'll have to remember that she's also doing it for her fans... What would you like? That she says, he's I've reached the top, I want to spend some time with my family so I'm retiring... Or that she thinks: Hey, I want to spend some time with my family, come home every day but also give my fans something? I think the second option (though being in Vegas) is the best for everyone, don't you think?
Just my 2 cents...

I don't say she's using it to create a buzz for her new show, I "may" think that she (and especially her management) have used it to take the lights of of Vegas... Something that clearly didn't work...

It's easy for you to say that when she gave 11 concerts in your country and it was always included on the tours. But have you ever put yourself in other fan's shoes? Did you know that she has never been to South America?

Not only meet&greet contests, but I think they should have an all-in package as well, soundcheck and a meet&greet.
How expensive it may be, people will buy it.
And I am 1 of them, or I spend my money on another show, or on a meet&greet, for me it's all the same
And i really don't get some of the complaints that she is singing her old songs.... at least with an orchestra so it would really sound different ( I think and hope ) look at WCD and SLP... AMAZING
But it will never be right what she does, is it dance then some have reasons to complain, finally with an orchestra, still people complain... she also could retire completly hé ;-)

Did Céline came to Belgium 11 times? I'm not aware of that fact. I'm pretty sure she gave 3 concerts during the TC tour in Antwerp and back in 1998 or was is 1999 she gave a concert in the King Boudain Stadium in Brussels and as I'm correct she gave one before that in the early 90's on a much smaller scale but that's about it as far as I know. Yes, she lived here in Belgium for a couple of months in 2002 or 2003 when she worked with Franco Dragone on the A New Day show...
Maybe I'm indeed fortunate that she came more then once to Belgium... I saw her twice performing in Belgium, during the late '90 in the Stadium in Brussels and in 2008 in Antwerp. That's it. Besides that I saw her perform in Las Vegas (USA), Arras (France) and Montréal (Canada). So I even saw her more outside my own country than inside my country... In terms of miles I flew about 20.000 miles all together to see her perform in the US and Canada. Peanuts compared to fellow boardmembers who even travelled from Australia to Canada to see her... And I always flew in discount cattle class so it didn't cost me to much money...
I'm sorry to see that she never visited Argetina but that's not Céline her fault... You have to understand how things work. It's not Céline who makes the tour (she can give some suggestions though). When a tour is made, the management of the artist will contact one or more tourpromotors to work out the details of the tour. As I'm not mistaken, the promotor for the Taking Chances tour was in most of the countries LiveNation, world's biggest promotor. These companies are making a tour... They contact local branches of affalliated companies to ask if there is interest to schedule a show in that certain country (minus the countries which are excluded for some reasons: for example, you can be sure that Iraq was excluded because it is an unsafe place). So when after the first contacts the tour is formed, a schedule is drawn and negociations starting... Only when the deal is made it will be added to the list, most of the time several dates are kept open to put in additional shows regarding the demand after it's made public. Céline and her management can maybe say: hey I certainly want to perform in country X but if they don't get a deal with that country (the local promotor) the show won't go on... So maybe, again I say "maybe", the problem lies in your own country, maybe there isn't a local promotor that is willing to book her for a show, or maybe they didn't reach a deal...
And just to make sure that everyone has an equal chance to see her perform it is good that she stays in one place, a place that she can call home... A place easily reachable from every continent on this globe, a place for everyone, rich, normal or poor... Yes, airline tickets are expensive but please do take in you mind that a person living in the USA can end up paying more for his or her flight to Vegas then a person living in country X... Yeah, the people from Nevada, California, en maybe a few other states can drive to the concert. Those will be the sole persons who will have an advantage...
Just my 2 cents
