Her career suffered a huge blow after the first 5 years, even though many fans refuse to see it as anything else but a success. And you know why it plummeted? Because she went out of the public eye and Las Vegas is not the focal point of the world. Now she's simply going to repeat the same mistake.
Oh, whatever. Let her. It's more than obvious she's not really interested in her singing career anymore.

March 15th and 16th 2011, Las Vegas
Thank you Celine and thank you friends! I truly had the time of my life!

Whilst I agree in principle, "A New Day..." was groundbreaking at the time and it was a phenomenal success. And whilst it did have an impact on her international career this was only to be expected.
To repeat the whole process though, even if it is only for 75 shows per year, is in my opinion a terrible career move.

Totally agree with you, Der Griffon... AND...'s been a success for LV, for the state of Nevada and for Reney's wallet. And maybe set a landmark in showbusiness, but has she evolved artistically or is she near to her career's peak in terms of musical relevance? Is she topping the lists anymore? If so, tell me...

Additionally, Celine doesn't have to ANYTHING. She could choose to take it even easier and do nothing, at least we get something

I couldn't agree more with you, Heck she could say screw Vegas I want to Make new records. Also she could say heck, I just want to be a stay at home mom and take Rene Charles to School. Not to do anything.

I have to agree with what Frida said earlier as well, let Celine do what she wants and accept it. It's not our choice it's her's.

So do I.. We don't all judge equally Celine's steps in her career, but we all have the right to express ourselves, no matter how much we agree or disagree. For me, Celine's return in Ceasar's Palace is wrong or at least not desirable! I'd like her to do other fresh or innovative in her career stuff, but what is wrong for me or anyone of us, it might be right for Celine and what she's craving for her life now! Don't be selfish, we all want to see Celine be placed the crown of pop music again upon her head, but she rules her life and noone else! Even if she does for money, that's again her choice..
And for me it'd be completely unfair to have Celine for another 3 years, grounded in L.V, cause I don't think the majority of her fans can afford an at least 2000$ trip, to watch her live for just one night!I love Celine so much, I've grown up and believed with her music, I admire her artistic and personal identity as noone else's, but I can't rest on a thought of watching Celine again while she'll be turning 50. I demand on myself that I deserve a second chance to see her, as so many of us do..as so many of us support her through all these years...

Everyone has been stating their opinion no one is saying they can't. No one has to agree with what someone else says either. I for one am kind of in the middle, I want her to go back because it might, just might give me a chance to see her in Vegas and maybe it would be the second time I'd see her but then again I do want her to do a new cd or new project. Also please don't think that I'm complaining about money issues I'm not, but I know there's no way I could justify spending 2000$ to go to Vegas for a single show, despite wanting to see Celine if she does go back.

But it IS fair that if Celine does get pregnant again that she gives the same courtesy she gave to Rene-Charles to her new baby. Because flying from country to country and hotel room to hotel room, at least for me, doesn't cut it. If Celine get's pregnant, let her give the new baby the same chances RC had. And besides, it is only 75 shows. I really don't think this is career suicide. It allows her to perform but also allows her to have more time off than she did with AND... and to do other projects. As someone else said, if you did the minimum amount of shows per month, it'd be about 7 per month. Everyone does have a right to their own opinion, but I think that calling this new Vegas show carrer suicide is just taking it too far. Let Celine do what she wants. I'll even go so far as to quote the AND...The Secrets VERBATIM "I want to have more success as a mother than as a singer." It's Celine's life. As long as she's happy, I'm happy.
