I remember:
TVs with antennas. Watching Neil Armstrong walking on the moon in 1969-memorable day!
Did anyone watch Zoom, The Archies or Flipper?
The first year of Saturday Night Live- Killer Bees and Samurai Bar Mitzvah sketches
6 Million Dollar Man with the sound effects, Super Woman...
Come on and Zoom Zoom Zoom a Zoom!! And along with the Archies, Josie and the Pussycats!
yeah the Six Million Dollar Man and bionic Woman ... slooooow motion with sound effects
My parents thought the Schwinn bike with the banana was unsafe so I rode the typical bicycle
My room was filled with flower power stickers, ant-Vietnam war slogans , and Peter Max posters-I threw out all of them...found out a few years ago, many of his posters are worth quite a bit of money
I remember tie dying a t-shirt!
Anyone remember a show called Jabberwocky?
I'm thinking it might have been just a local show...

Oh yeah I remember Electra Woman and Dyna Girl as well as Isis... but they always moved in slow motion... I remember thinking that if they didn't hurry, they'd never get where they had to go and save whoever or whatever they had to save...
Now Wonder Woman with Lynda Carter... she was the ultimate! Brains, beauty, strength...

NOW YOU'RE TALKING...
ISIS
Wonder Woman - Lynda Carter
We had some HOT role models back in the day!

Can't remember who played Isis...
And musically... Olivia Newton-John ... she was the first female singer I liked so much that, after awhile, I bought her albums without having to hear a song first...
Helen Reddy was also popular at the time...

The Midnight Special - featuring Wolfman Jack
Soul Train
and American Bandstand - which had already been on for a few years!
Rosie and Ellen weren't the first to have variety talk shows in the afternoon either.
I know you oldsters like me remember Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin
And The Ed Sullivan Show with Topogio
And a one an a two with Lawrence Welk

I actually went to a live taping of Merv's show back in 1983!
Mike Douglas was a highly underated talk show host. He was great and just seemed like a regular guy but he had great guests. He actually had John and Yoko on a few times and they hosted a whole week of shows by themselves! That guy was ahead of his time, although he would never fit into TV now unfortunately. He was too GOOD.

Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
And dreamed of all the great things we would do
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
Then the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If by chance I'd see you in the tavern
We'd smile at one another and we'd say
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
Just tonight I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be
In the glass I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely woman really me
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days

All In The Family and Maude were both considered controversial because of the topics they dealt with.

I remember Zoom. I actually had one of the albums.
Hatchy Milatchy (sp?) with Miss Judy. The Magic Garden with those 2 girls on the swings and the Chuckle Patch.

Did anyone else watch Land of the Lost? The Slee Stacks used to scare the crap out of me.
