I live my life like a runaway
I hide my dreams in a special place
I'm waiting here for my prince to come
To save me from the darkness...

I didn't like it AT ALL!
I'd say there were less than 10 people from the forum there!? I don't think there were 100 TeamCeline members there...

It was a fun night - and worth changing my flight to stay!
Nice that this is getting so much publicity!

So suddenly, it's clear to me
Things change
Our future lies in here and now
We live it through somehow
Now the greatest reward
Is the love that I can give
I'm here for you now
For as long as I live
You made me who I am

Im not worried about the covers, are there 3 if I remember?¿ Taking Chances is olmost new for the media and public in general. The only one really important cover is Alone, but is 20 years ago and is good for the young fans and people to remember so good old song.
This is going to be great!!!

I'm having a hard time finding this song catchy and finding a refrain in it. But I now remember hearing mr Copycat himself Micheal Bublé singing this song and he actually does it quite well.
Michael Bublé - A Song For You (live)
Michael Bublé - A Song For You (studio)
And people it's not about the amount of covers it is HOW they are done. New songs can be bad aswell, however some people seem to cover only coz they get artistically lazy and simly copies the original - let's hope that is not the case, and judged by how we've seen Céline cover before we shouldn't have too much to worry about.

Naa, I can't stand American Idol's arrengements, trying to be melodramatic (who would aime at that??) but ends up sounding off pace. And vibrato abuse and waling doesn't bring soul to a song, it kills it.
I still have to go with Bublé's version as the best one (Elliot seems to have copycated mr Copycat before when I see that he has covered songs already covered by Bublé).

The trumpet and arrangement... holy smokes!!
Céline could really kick it with this R&B classic!!
OK... my wish is for her to perform this song on the MDA telethon!!!!
I LOVE R&B/JAZZ!!!
I'm also glad to hear that it can best be compared to Kelly Clarkson's Album - Breakaway!

"On ne grandit pas, on pousse un peu, tout juste, les temps d'un rêve, d'un songe,
Et les toucher du doigt, Mais on n'oublie pas, L'enfant qui reste, presque nu, les
instants d'innocence, Quand on savait pas... On ne change pas..."

This song is such an important song - and hard as hell to sing. You really have to of gone through something to pull it off. Not just have a good voice. It's an emotional song....not one just to sing your way through. That's why Karen's rendition really speaks.
I hope Celine adds her own "thing" to it, while staying true to the original arrangement.
