The new red dress don't really like it but it's not the important thing anyway. I shivered during Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, the hair on my arms actually rose a bit - it was so false I couldn't stand it! - Kidding She was incredible! Those moments like this event are things I wish we saw more of, it feels so frech and fun and artistic and she just acts on feeling and she's great. She really knows how to move on stage, very elegant and classy. I'm a bit afraid that, what Mirage, A New Day is a bit too much routine, which is sad. More concerts!! Wonderful wonderful. Celine go out that cage... do some benefit shows, just like the old days... WCD, Divas, Billboard, WMA... those things are MY celine dion.... Quote

But it's a show, an experience for the audience, and that's what I think she wanna show. Yea I see what you mean with her being absorbed within all the surrounding fuss. But I also think that that was the whole idea with it. But I wouldn't criticize it that hard and call it booring, I still think it's an outstanding experience. And how I'd love to see the IIC performance (don't care much for the song, don't like it much, but the entire thing around it which is A New Day), and also TFTEISYF. Sure A New Day would have much more soul into it if the tracklist changed a lot more often. Then there wouldn't be any routine and hopefully the speeches wouldn't be the same and it all would be more spontanious. But then again that's not what it's all about. A New Day isn't about soul and artistical freedom and spontanious improvs. It is about an audible and visual experience, a living work of art. And let's not wish for it to be anything else, coz what it is is so wonderful (I think, I have never been there). All I see is that mirage is clearly alluding to her past and comparing it with her new show. Maybe I'm just sensitive about that LOL but still let me just say it once again that every tour she did for the past 25 years was rehearsed AND scripted the same way "A New Day" is. And again in the past you haven't had so many opportunities to witness it just cuzz Céline was moving around which now is not the case and you are very well able to see her in Vegas 50 times a year...thus you will inevitably notice the tight script. One theory, she had nothing else clean, so she added it up a little bit putting not one but TWO new tops on top of it - voila! Is this one of the new changes of AND or just for this event, I don't know. If it is for AND I'd rather see her in a totally new dress, don't like either versions much. The "old" one was fine at the start but then it wasn't any longer. The waist looks wierd, too high? And now in this "new" version it is more fitted for an old lady, just add some silk gloves in your mind and you'll see what I mean. Despite her lipping half her songs in this show, (and majorly flubbing the lyrics to TPOL, hehe) I was very pleased with her duets with Elton. At the end I thought "THAT is the Celine I adore." She's not afraid to get down and get crazy, and she's got some hidden moves, I'm tellin ya! I loved watching her rock out, and dance around the stage. She looked FAAAAAB in both outfits. Jerry Seinfeld was REALLY funny too, for those of you who are fans. I don't enjoy Elton in concert. I've seen the Red Piano, and while he's extremely talented and entertaining, he drags his songs out to ridiculous lenths. He does like a 20 minute Rocket Man rendition that just makes you want to throw fruit after the first 10 minutes, hehe. Still an awesome show, I just wish you could hear Celine better for the last duet, cause man she was rockin! Quote
