DVD of A New Day...Live In Las Vegas

BRUXELLES La page 2004 à peine tournée, les maisons de disques fourbissent déjà leurs armes et s'apprêtent à nous envoyer leurs (bonnes) ondes pour 2005. Petit aperçu des albums francophones les plus attendus en ce début d'année.

Janvier

Toutes choses étant égales par ailleurs (enfin, apparemment), Juliette nous revient avec un nouvel album, dès le 10 janvier, intitulé Mutatis mutandis. Un univers à part dans la chanson française, à (re) découvrir.

Cinq ans après Fest Noz de Paname, le rap celtique de Manau retentira à nouveau sur les plages d' On peut tous rêver (le 10/01, Universal).

Autre long absent, Hugues Aufray s'offre un album de reprises. C'est à Félix Leclerc qu'il rend hommage sur un disque éponyme.

Mieux vaut tard que jamais, Universal offrira à Georges-Alain Jones sont premier album le 24 janvier.

Une semaine plus tard (et deux ans après son dernier opus) Daniel Levi déboulera à son tour avec son nouveau-né.

Autre galette très attendue (depuis le temps), celle de Diane Tell, intitulée Popeline et sur laquelle la Québécoise travaille depuis 2001.

Enfin, Sony annonce l'arrivée des live de deux divas. Celui de Céline Dion, A new day... live in Vegas et celui de Patricia Kaas, Toute la musique, enregistré au Cirque Royal. Ce dernier sera, en outre, accompagné d'un DVD.

They can't release 2 years old material, where Céline looks totally different(if she doesn't change her hair back to blonde for the release :lmao: ) next fall. Well.ok they can, but that would be just stupid, unless they put the blonde version with the old songs etc. AND a new version with all the changes. That's actually what I want, cause when I saw the show she had blonde hair and because I'm greedy! :whistling1: :laughing:

Sony Music Poland says that DVD will be release 31st Jan :unsure:

This might be a longshot but do you guys think that there will be different versions of the DVD for different countries? It's a good idea for Sony to rip more fans off like the Miracle DVDs :laughing:

I hope they at least utilize the full capacity of the DVD and perhaps a widescreen version optimized for plasma TVs? :unsure:

I think the DVD will be released in the non-USA countries first.

Maybe, in the US it will come in April or during fall 2005 instead of the french Greatest Hits.

yes they will include all the songs into dvd include HYEBIL and so on....

and yes it's quite possible that they will release in the world but except US

cause it's a US show......

I'm so tired of postphonings all the time. And I am so tired of getting my hopes up and then being let down - ALWAYS. Sony and her team are really truly being horrible towards her fans.

I mean, hum, if I lived in America I could sue them :evil: and I would.

I really think they want the show to change more and THEN they will release the DVD. Because most of the time they don't even release a DVD of a show before it's over! Like with 'O' from Cirque du Soleil, it's playing in Vegas too and there is only a cd of it, no DVD. I think they are afraid people will not make the effort to go all the way to Vegas if they can watch exactly the same show in their own livingroom on their widescreen-tv! Without spending much money on the trip, hotel and showtickets... :down:

I really think this is the case, they will use the DVD to promote the show but they will also add the show has changed over the months. So people will still be wanting to go there and see it for theirselves.

That does not take away the fact that Sony is the most terrible company I have ever seen. How can you announce a DVD for the fall of 2004 and then not release it? :confused1:

I can remember the release of the All The Way-DVD and I think I am having a flashback with this DVD... They will never learn, I am afraid. They don't seem to understand that we, the fans, are making them earn so much money. They should treat us with a little more respect, they should do what they promise, but they never did and they never will. I wished Céline would start her own recordlabel, what does she need Sony for? Sony makes me SICK! :sick:

This is getting crazy! :angry: They keep pushing my hopes up and then letting me down.

This better be because they're re-shooting the DVD. I really want to see Celine sing in her long brown hair. And I wanna see her sing "ANDHC" as the intro song instead of "Nature Boy."

And I hope they have A LOT of special features since it's gonna be 2 DVD's. I hope they put on the video for "You And I" and the making of it too.

But I'm from America, and all I hear and read is news about Poland, South Africa, the UK and so on. Is there NO news for America? :cry:

I really hope that it comes out soon in Jan. or Feb. :down:

And I know we're all pretty angry and let down about this, but let's not turn our backs on Sony/Epic/Columbia/550 Records. They've been with Celine since the very beginning and, and they've always worked something out, no matter what. I'm just disappointed, that's all. :unsure:

It's not Sony's fault. It's Feeling Productions' fault. Sony Music have not power on Céline's releases. For this DVD we have just to wait and see. I think in the next week we will have some confirmations. :msn-wink:
