unfortunatly i can't make it to the show, i have two young children and i am a student nurse, which gives you very little time to do anything,
So i can't wait for the dvd i hope it comes soon
i don't care if she has blonde/brown or even pink hair as long as we get a dvd who cares

Even when you've been to the show, you want the dvd. Believe me when I say that!

I would love to have it right now in my hands and just put into the dvd-player, and watch it. Actually mostly listen and again being speachless of the performances .

If you've been once to the show you want to go again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, etc :lmao: So we all want the dvd :msn-wink: ...

Too late! It's because of the fact that fans were so very upset about her hair in 2003 that they kept on mentioning it, critisizing it and judging it that the original DVD was cancelled by Celine herself. It's the ultimate punishment LOL.

I think the reaction was a little bit too exaggerated. Like they thought that Celine would be doomed to have this hairdo forever, when it was apparent that in the past Celine only kept a hairdo for a little while and then changed it. Now, because she was overwhelmed with criticism, she keeps on repeating previous hairdo's and she doesn't seem to dare to try anything new anymore. I thought that it was always nice that Celine had so many 'faces' over the years, even if sometimes I didn't particularly like some hairdo's, I respected it, because I knew this was only temporary and because I liked it very much that she changed her look so many times. But now we are probably stuck with the current Au Coeur De Stade / Let's Talk About Love hairdo for the next 20 years..

But I agree with you, I would have loved to see the original DVD (with blonde hair). I'm glad I saw the show for real, so a DVD is not really necessary anymore for me...but I would definitely buy it, if it was going to be released.

If I will be lucky like you who has already watched the show , I would still love to have a copy of it which I can treasure as long as I live. And looking back after years, you would say: "That's the best show I've seen in my life!" You would want to have a precious souviner from the show you watched and loved. To reminisce such an enriching experience.

I also want A New Day DVD for collection purposes. I want it so I can watch it anytime I want. Just within the tips of my fingers.

A New Day is definitely the best show of our modern world.

I live also very far from Las Vegas... And I am afraid that when I have watched the DVD I want nothing but go there and see it live, and will do almost anything to do so, and I am sure that a lot more will react like that, and if the DVD is released right at the end of the AND era or after... we won't have the chanse to, thereby they also loose some ticket buyers () so I can't see why they refuse to see that it's a smart thing releasing the DVD BEFORE the end of AND...

(That was the longest sentence I've written in a long time. :pinch: )

I have a feeling the DVD will be released soon. The show only has a year left (can you believe how fast that went?) and I'm sure they will release the DVD before the show ends, to encourage those who buy it to go and see it for themselves in person. In addition, fans who can't go can watch it before the show ends, to feel like they were a part of Celine's Vegas era also. I'm sure it will be released within the next year. I bet the delay is to be sure the DVD that gets released captures Celine in the best vocal and physical shape. :wink1:

Did you know that they tape every show now? I think that what they are going to do.. since she has the same hair now... is take the best performances and put them together.. so we get an awesome dvD.... i think that would be smart.. because every show is different.. believe me i have been to a lot of them.. she sounds better some nights.. and then other nights certain songs sound better then the night before.. .. i bet that they arn't going to release a DVD until the show is over... i have a feeling..

Ok, honestly, I've seen the show both with and without hair...and while she was vocally stunning every time...she looked like frikin' Peter Pan. Especially when she was flying! I still can't imagine what in her wildest dreams she was thinking with that haircut, and I think that Celine looked in the mirror one day and realized...oh this looks weird...let's not document it on DVD! She looks so Georgoeous now, I really don't want to see the old hair again..even she missed her hair, as she said on Regis and Kelly when she was on. I mean I really want this DVD, but I would rather wait for a newer version...and with hair! lol

I was watching an interview.. recently.. and she said that she couldn't believe the way people reacted to her short haircut.. she said that she knew she wasn't very pretty and really skinny when she first came to the us.. but that her voice won everyone over.. and when she cut her hair and everyone had a fit about it.. that it made her realize that people cared about her hair more.. so she changed it back.. she said she didn't realize how much hair/image matters to people.. that she just wanted to cut her hair.. so that's why she changed it back to her "natural" hair color..

I don't remember what interview it was from.. but i will find it.. and give it to you guys.. i just thought that was interesting.

I love her either way.. i can say thought the short hair in person looked pretty cool.. LOLL.. i saw her in AND w/ all the hairstyles... i liked the straight hair w/ the little curl at the end.. that one and when she had long curly light brown hair.. it looked amazing.. but also when she had that short blonde curly it looked really cute in person.. LOL call me crazy to think that!!! i just loved that every time i went it was different!!! :clap: :clap: :clap:

im my opinion, i dont think it was the 25 years thingy. i think its many fans cannot see Celine with short hair! some think Celine would change just because of the hair.

The DVD will be released at the end of her contract in Vegas, which is supposed to be in march, but they may make it longer again.... it's from a french fan on another forum who met some of the Dion's and who probably asked them. Edited January 21, 2006 at 06:15 AM by Faline

Yeah I also heard that she wraps in March of '07. BUt honestly...nack to the hair thing...I don't think the problem was ever that people thought she was too edgy...that is one word that never came to mind when looking at that hair cut..it just looked bad on her. I mean everyone has had a bad haircut before, one that just doesn't flatter the person...this was hers. I think the short hair she used to have, that was mentioned in that quote, was cute cause first the cut was duffernt and the color was also diff. LIke the short hair she had in BYLM video..looked adorable. This style just didn't fit her.
