I see this DVD thing going 2 ways.1. They will not release the DVD until closer to 2007. Reason being, why would the release a DVD that shows a show that people are currently paying to see . If they release it now then everyone can have a Celine Dion: A New Day concert in the comfort of their own home.OR2. They will release the DVD within the next year figuring that if people buy the DVD now then they will want to have an oppertunity to see it live before it ends in 2007. Me, I see the first option as more likely to happen because you have to figure for Sony, Feeling Productions, Dragon or whoever is involved it's all about $$$$. Which way can they make more money???<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really think it'll go the first way. Celine and Ceasar's Palace has to make a profit and there's nothing bad about wanting to earn something. By releasing the DVD now, there's a possibility that instead of actually going to the show live, people would just buy the DVD. If this were to happen, I think it would be a loss for Celine, Ceasar's Palace, Sony, Chrysler, and everyone involved in this magnifisant project. I think it'll be better to release in 2007 when the show ends because one, there are still going to be folks who never saw the show, and will buy the DVD. And of course all of us, even if we did see the show live, will buy the DVD. And buy releasing the DVD at the end of the show, the show would be able to go out with a bang, and the DVD could be released as a "special" or "collector's" edition. We're getting so angry and frustrated at Sony because we want the DVD and the won't release it. But we don't know why Sony is holding back, and we don't know they're side of the story. Maybe Sony has so many great features to offer on the DVD, that they're waiting for when we least expect it, to then release it. We're all let down that the DVD wasn't released when it was said to be released but so many things are happening and changing in the show. Let's not get all mad and judgemental because none of us really knows what's going on. We all know that the DVD WILL be release so there's no use getting all mad about it. It's all just a matter of time and whenever the time is right, the DVD will be released. I am like everyone else here who wants to have the DVD ASAP. I am also, like alot of you, interested in any kind of bonus "behind the scenes" or documentary footage that I'm sure they will include once it's released. I'm sure many of you have seen the the VH-1 (or MTV?) documentary that she did a few years ago. It was kind of a video diary that she did which I thought was realy good. I have never seen the more recent A and E "Biography" series on cable tv that was aired recently. Luckily I was actually at her show when it was aired earlier this month so I had a good excuse! Even though I have cable tv, I don't get that channel anymore. I really would like to see that special. That cable channel has a web site where they sell DVD's of some of their TV shows but last time I looked they did not sell the Celine special. Hopefully that will change. Well I'm pretty sure a DVD will eventually be released by at least the end of 2007!It would make absolutely no sense for them to release it AFTER her gig in LV is over, so I'm hoping it will be this or next year.
