I am a huge fan of Roberta Flack (especially her earliest work). In fact, she comes a very close second to Celine.

 

I would say that Celine and Roberta pretty much make up my CD collection (they are the only people I buy) and give a good indication of my listening habits.

 

However, other artists I appreciate include Antony & The Johnsons, Nina Simone, Edith Piaf, Patricia Kaas and Janis Ian.

I officially have the most schizophrenic taste in music ever! :P Céline, Nightwish, Evanescence, Gregorian, Loreena McKennitt, Breaking Benjamin....it all depends on what mood I'm in. One artist that inspires me tremendously though and that effects my life almost as much as Céline (although in a different way) is Marilyn Manson. He is such an intelligent and cretaive human being and sparks my cretaivity immensely. He teaches me to question thigns, always, and to look at the world I'm in. I'd give my right arm for a conversation with him, he's so intellectually stimulating it's unreal. People see him on stage and think he's this crazy, outrageous eprson when in fact, privately, he's really calm and quiet and almost shy.
