Can Celine sing all kinds of music?

Celine has sung many different kinds of music during her carrier:

 

Pop - mostly;

Rock - "You Shook Me All Night Long";

Hip-Hop - "Rain, Tax";

Blues - "Le Ballet";

Classical - "O Holy Night";

etc.

 

Do you think Celine can sing any kind of music and do it amazingly?! Most singers can't, so they stick to their own style. But Celine is always trying something new.

Do you think she can sing any kind of music?! Give your opinion here!

ps. I know that Nessun dorma is an aria to be sung by a man. However, I believe that it could just as well be sung by a woman. And Aretha Franklin sang it at the 1999 grammys didnt she?

Guys hello there!!!!A voice like Celine's can definitely sing all kinds of music....Take as an example the variety of type of songs that Celine has sung throughout the years....It's simply amazing....From 'treat her like a lady' to my heart will go on' and from 'ammore anascunnuto'in Vegas to 'all by myself' and 'le ballet'...and of course so many other songs that have been marked by her unique voice and interpretation....

I think she can sing anything she wants! She's got great producers and songwriters who work with her. She has a perfect voice and I think it's interesting how many different styles she can get out of her.

I agree that there are some styles she shouldn't sing. BUT, if she decided to do so, she would do it the best way possible.

This is one of the things I admire in her. Celine can do anything!

Name a clean rap song that you think Céline can sing and I will tell you if I think she can sing it or not.

If Celine decided to sing rap: as I said, she's got lots of good producers and songwriters surrounding her. They would advice her on how to do it and she would do it the best way possible.

The most important is: does Celine want to sing rap?! If she does, and if she feels the rap music inside of her, then she'll be able to do it. Otherwise she wouldn't even try it.

I voted that she can try. I'm not saying she can't but she doesn't sound good singing all types. Although "Rain, Tax" sounded awsome!! I don't like "Treat Her Like A Lady" all that much.

The type of accompaniment has all been varied, but they way she sings it has all been 'pop style', with the exception of a few jazzy songs from SMarney. She, herself, has admitted that her voice can't do opera. And there are so many more types of music that she hasn't even touched on...I'd love to hear her try some Inuit throat-singing. HA HA HA!!!!

 

Every voice has it's limitations. Her voice sounds great with all those different arrangements behind her, but is she really singing in those different styles? Or is she just being "Celine" with varied arrangements?

I have Sarah Brightman's version, I would love if Celine could sing that song, it's always been one of my favourite classical songs.

She has sung country before, also "Retains-Moi" is very country to me. She can pull of country music.

But I'm sure it would sound awesome when she sings a opera!!!!

 

I also don't think she would ever recorded a rap song......but she did already a little bit rap in "treat her like her lady" and it sounded good for me!!!

I think she is capable of managing most styles of songs due to her incredible voice

but I doubt that rap would be considered either.

In my opinion, it is still most suitable for her to sing pop love songs!

Besides, opera would be a good choice but I think it too restricted for her.
