It seems pathetic, I can understand that. I've experienced it a couple of times and yes there are people there that make it really pathetic. 

But most of it was always fun. The times she was high on adrenaline from a show and got hyped up from us and the other way around.

And she knows when there are cameras around, she gives extra. In the end it's an image and a business she has to keep up.

A long time ago 1 of her bodyguards told us, if it was up to them, we (the fans) would never see her leave the hotel on the front, but she wants to do it.

Exactly. I've waited at her hotel a couple of times as well, it's super fun. It's clear as day that she loves it, it's part of the performance for her. If she wanted to escape unseen, she definitely could/would.

We know that some of Céline’s musicians are performing at the Concert de la Francophonie in Québec on Tuesday evening (August 25).

So far, we haven't seen any photos or videos showing that the stage setup has started inside Plénitude Arena. But considering the descriptions we’ve gotten like "spectacular production", "grandiose show with monumental architectural design", or "unprecedented stage production" building this stage is definitely going to take several days.

Maybe load-in will finally start next week?

i think she rented out a a nice big place with lots of nature around it. So on her days off she really has days off and can enjoy outside without people.

 

I’ve never heard the hotel suite is only booked on “show dates”?

How would that make any sense? Unless she’s staying super far from the venue in a rented home.. but even so she’s going to be going back and forth every couple days…

Not only the suite, the entire hotel was blocked - as in, you couldn’t reserve any room on any of the show dates, they were crossed out as if unavailable.

Why would they book the entire hotel… I think that’s just the hotel holding these rooms to charge a fortune for them last minute.

I think perhaps it might be members of her team and inner circle who are staying at the hotel with her. It’s possible that they’ve booked off an entire floor, if not more for that purpose.

Yeah but that’s true, but where would they go on non show days? If Celine is staying possibly at rented home especially on non performance days… I’d assume her team/inner circle and band etc would need to keep the rooms for the entire time they are in Paris and not just show days.

That’s my thought tho- im not sure she is gonna stay out in the middle of nowhere and travel in for shows, I find it more likely that they’ll essentially book out an entire floor or two, and move her team in with her so they’re at her beck and call 24/7- especially her doctor, her PT, a vocal coach, and likely also the twins.

I agree I’m sure Dee and Annie and the entire band as well and her managers too. But the report someone said here was that the rooms were only booked for “show days”… if she’s doing only 3 days a week where would they all go for the 4 days with no shows? That’s why I’m not quite sure there’s truth to it. Either it’s booked through her final October date or something else is going on imo.

I’m guessing for ease of security and/or perhaps even logistics, they’ve made it impossible to book to be in the hotel on show days, to make everyone’s lives (Celines, her teams, the hotel staffs) easier; far harder to get Celine out the front door securely and to the car if there’s like 6 people in a check-in queue who would need to be kicked out or put to the side while she comes down in the elevator.

Her band is staying close to the arena in a hotel. And I think the rest of the team etc also stays there. Don't think people like Dee and Annie are staying at her place. They all get picked up and arrive by drivers most of the time.

When I interviewed Annie, she said in London for the TC tour they booked out a few rooms for wardrobe etc and she, Zhane & Zorba also stayed at the same hotel as Céline, which was the Dorchester at the time.

Then it’ll be interesting to see how they do it. Celine must be paying a pretty penny to hold  entire rooms  if her team isn’t staying in them. 

I’d assume that Celine is footing the bill for the teams stay wherever that may be.

I still fail to understand why they wouldn’t booked the rooms from start to finish if shows for each leg. Why book rooms 3 days a week and then they are open for the other 4 days which are not show dates… it’s not like Céline and team will be traveling back to Vegas for 3 days every week. That’s the part that stumped me.

Where did you see that the hotel is blocked? And which hotel are you talking about? Le Royal Monceau has plenty of availability on the concert dates (including suites).I've looked mainly at the dates from September 11th to 13th and there are all kinds of rooms available.

For a lot of very high end clients it’s not unusual. Plus this run of concerts is expected to make well north of $150 million, and that’s just in ticket sales, so id imagine she’s being well compensated 🤣

I remember one of the times Céline performed at Bercy there was a show where some of her band mates were interviewed in the lobby of the Pullman Hotel in Bercy. So my guess is they'll be at a similar hotel in La Défense.

I ordered 3 Celine T-shirts from the boutique on her website on Aug 7th. Want to wear something Celine for the first show. Had wanted to get something custom made with my own wording but I just wasn’t finding the time to sit down and do it 🤨

Anyway, ordered on the 7th and the status is still ‘We're preparing these items for shipping.’. I’ve emailed them twice saying this is for the show and I leave for Paris on the 10th but I keep getting the ridiculous stock answer ‘We are experiencing delays in processing orders and we are doing all that we can to ship your order to you as soon as possible.’

It seems it’s not just Celines store though. Universal music are handling merch for loads of artists and they’re all showing the shipping delay msg on the store. 

I want to email a third time but feel it won’t do any good. Presumably once they are sent out, it’ll take an age for them to arrive. Ughhhh it’s p***ing me off, it’s 3 T-shirts ffs and I need them for a reason 🤯

Come on, This residency is not a personal pleasure of Céline, inviting all her friends. It's a big business, Céline is a company in herself and all the people you are talking about have professional contracts whose expenses are charged in the tickets we bought.

Stores in France are selling Celine Dion shirts now, lot cheaper than the official boutique and some even nicer.

Now it seems they’ve been unblocked, but initially - when the residency was announced, and even before (which is how we got confirmation of the dates) - all show dates were blocked. Makes this even more intriguing…
