I still feel she might have appeared sometimes during the course of the film. Or she might have met the actors back stage, or in some different location.

 

Its not Céline to just do her part and leave, she must have interacted somehow. Video call maybe

She didn’t. Sam and Pri’s parts were filmed in London, in 2020 during Covid. Céline’s in Canada. And they used technology to make it seamless.

Wow. Disappointing that she filmed all of her scenes alone. Just copied and pasted with the other actors. Amazing what technology can do - so this could also be a reason why no one seems so invested in the film.

 

This is like when you learn that 2 artists didn't record a duet together. Somehow it loses some of the luster.

And many times when you see a scene, the actors aren’t actually talking to each other.

 

It doesn’t bother me, especially considering it was during the height of Covid.

It was actually really good for a rom com! Our Celine did a good job. Proud of her. She did not make me cringe once 😅

It’s a Celine fest too! Doesn’t mean she’s not on screen that we are not hearing her. The new songs are amazing!

 

I laughed a lot too, especially at Sam’s gay co-worker 😅his acting was spot on.

I don’t want to tell more, not spoil anything, but yeah the end was a nice surprise 💃🏼

 

Might have to bring tissues too for some parts…

Its the perfect amount of Celine tbh…. For the story, more would have been too much. But its perfect amount cause the Celine fans will be excited to hear her new songs and will love to hear the oldies and for the Muggles it will be nice to hear the classic Celine's hits…. I bet it will make them want to go listen for some more Celine.

 

So I was thirsty and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m satiated lol

He said a water down version of Celine! Wow.

 

I suspect that for the French audience, this will be a “watered down” version of Celine… this movie is clearly based on the Celine that is more known in the Anglophone world. The true fans know that she’s also very different depending on where she is! French and authentic Cèline is very different than Celine Dion in my opinion.
