I would bet my bottom dollar Vegas is announced by end of June at latest. I’ve been saying this a long time. But demand will be insane. And prices too!!! But I’m going !

I’m shook. Terrible! There is no comparison between Celine’s residencies. I will understand going forward when big artists say they have a residency - most are so low budget and forgettable.

I wouldn't say Christina Aguilera is that big of an artist in 2024. Also, Kylie is successful, but she's not like huge A-list successful. This is in the US where she hast to sell Vegas tickets. How many people going to Vegas Just automatically know Kylie Minogue unkess youre gay.

 

Also, I kind of like Kylie show because it's different and she performs right in front of you sort of like a small nightclub. Not every Vegas show needs to be cirque du soleil meets pop concert

Kylie’s residency was actually very successful and the show is fantastic. So good, in fact that the venue gave her an unprecedented lifetime invitation for her show. She can come and go as she pleases. It’s a much smaller venue than Celine would be performing in, so the production I’m sure is more limited. But the show is really great.

Even if coming back to performing is in the card, nothing will be announced in the upcoming month. She would get so much bad press because of that.... Like she plays the dying victim of a serious disease and suddenly is back on stage performing a big residency. Earning money on her disease... NO WAY. I also want her to come back and I truly hope she will but if there is anything to announce in the near future, it won't be around the documentary. She might do the Olympics (one song only) or release a new album and slowly get back into performing and showing herself and people she can do it. Even in the Vogue interview she clearly said she doesn't know what's gonna happen in 3 or 4 months and that won't change anytime soon, so they won't be announcing any residency EVEN IF there is a residency starting in Oct, Nov or Dec. I hope you’re right. I can see it happening as well… I just want to get ahead of ourselves. I think one way or another we will have more clarity at the end of this month with the documentary airs.

From my perspective we saw the two things that will make it likely we could see a return to the stage…

 

1. She’s able to move around without pain, and in heels at that… ( multiple times now)

 

And

 

2. She’s still able to sing in what sounds to still be “Celine”, I don’t know if she’s at the point to produce a 2- hour long show but that would be hard even without SPS after a 5 year hiatus. But she can still sing.

 

Now we need to know if she’s in the mental headspace to hit the stage again, I think the documentary will give us the clarity on that aspect, but time will tell. One things for sure, all great signs so far since March of this year.

Perhaps her condition just wasn’t stable enough. We know she went ice skating on her birthday. These days it’s probably consistently under control with few, if any, bad days.
