How on earth have you not heard them? I suppose you have a reasoning behind it.

 

Yeah - I’ve said many times on here that a 20 track album was too much for me. I was SUPER happy to have the tracks but I created a playlist for a Courage album that consists of Tracks 1-13 and Track 16. That’s a 14 track, 50 min album which is PERFECT for me. I listen to it constantly. I love pretty much every song on it.

 

Since I know it’ll more than likely be another 5-6 years before Celine gives us a new album, I’ve been holding back tracks 14, 15 and 17-21 to listen to when I get tired of Courage. I think I’ve decided that I’ll start listening to them as an EP titled “Heart of Glass” this summer. It’s always nice to have new Celine music in the summer rather than the winter.

I personally think boundaries and the hard way are the best of that bunch, the others I don’t particularly care for much. But, I think for others I can definitely see this as a good summer mix! Enjoy!

I’m SUPER excited to know I have new Celine music coming my way this summer! As much as I’ve loved (my version of) Courage, I’m still dying to hear the other tracks.

Maybe now that the game is over we could post our own favorite ranking of the songs - from best to worst?

 

Since the album has been out for a while, and most of us (except couldawouldashoulda ) are probably very familiar with all the songs by now, it would be interesting to see how people rank their favorites. I know some of my favorites have changed a little since release, and I know people have some very different favorites than mine, so I'm curious to see how you guys would rank them.

 

Making a list is hard though, because there are some songs that I just love equally, like my top 3. And with my bottom 5 it's also very hard to decide which song is "the worst". Also, I know that in a while my list might be totally different as suddenly I become addicted to a song that I didn't previously like. That's pretty much what happened with The Chase. I didn't think much of it in the beginning, but now it's basically my favorite along with Look At Us Now and How Did You Get Here.

FINAL RESULT

 

So the big day has come! 22 of you have voted for Change My Mind, so... The Hard Way (20 votes) wins the Survivor and becomes the ultimate fan favorite from Céline's latest English album Courage!

 

I think this result comes to show that, even tough we all support Céline when it comes to trying new stuff and different sounds, there's nothing better than a classic Céline track to make us all fall in love: exquisite vocal performance, an inspiring message, big amounts of drama and a gospel choir to make an ending full of high notes even more epic.

 

The song was written by Jessica Karpov, Whitney Phillips and Greg Wells. Produced by Wells, The Hard Way is available on Courage's Deluxe Edition as one of the four exclusive bonus tracks. A member of this very forum, manolo19, recently made this beautiful music video for the song. Wouldn't it be amazing to let Céline know this footage? I think watching this video could be such a cool way to celebrate this victory, so let's go!

 

 

Thanks to each and every one of the fans who have participated in this game since we kicked it off in December of last year! (crazy how fast nearly six months can pass by). I hope you all enjoyed this game as much as I did, and let's hope Céline won't take too long to release a new album so we can do another Survivor soon

I needed a break from the crazy, so this was a nice distraction...

 

The order could easily change depending on when I make the list, but the top six would likely always be in the top six anyway. And the good thing is that I really don't hate any of the songs; the bottom tier is just less inspired to me and I wouldn't necessarily miss them if they went away, but they're enjoyable enough when they come on. (How Did You Get Here does push the limit though once the wailing starts... )

I think that to really tell which song is the most loved one we should also take into account hatred. What I mean is that it would be good to be able to give positive and negative votes to songs - I think this would result in a more balanced overview. So, for instance, be able to give one positive vote to the song we love the most and one negative vote to the song we want to eliminate. This could be done on a weekly basis. Just my two cents - have been thinking about this for quite some time now. I also think voting should be hidden (and only revealed at the end to ensure transparency), so that people cannot vote based on what others voted.

 

That is not to undermine the win of THW - there is a chance it would win anyway.
