I swear some people only come on here to fulfil some weird inner need to be the moral defender of all things virtuous with Celine. Give it a rest

And I see others who come on here to fulfill some weird inner need to spew venom and be as mean as can be. And I'm not saying you are doing that. People can sure give their opinion but often it's not even constructive criticism, it's just plain nasty spirit.

 

As for the single, well I don't think Sony UK will wait to release a single until she gets there. She can't be everywhere. The album is holding quite well in the UK which is amazing considering she hasn't even been there since July.

I can agree it all comes down to respect. Celine has given us close to 40 years of herself. No matter what she does now, even if I disagree, I will ensure I treat her with the respect she deserves. We owe her that at least. I just don’t like being jumped on simply for airing a perfectly normal point of view.

 

The album is holding quite well in the UK but it’s not part of the public conversation. People are not really aware, there’s no buzz. When she does get chance to come here, and do some of the various TV opportunities, the interest will spike. I can’t wait for it. She was the darling of London when she was here for Hyde Park.

Imperfections is a grower. It's receiving twice as many streams on YouTube than a month ago. I hope it gets a second chance to go top 10 on the AC Chart after xmas

Imperfections video is now getting around 80k views per day on YouTube. Almost 3 times more than a month ago. Am I smelling an anglophone "Parler a mon père" kind of longevity?

I have to admit, hearing it live has made me really come to love it! It wasn’t my favorite on first listen but I do love it now!

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

I can’t decide if it’s a problem or not. Céline’s general audience clearly aren’t moving with the times - they don’t stream etc - so perhaps all they want are 90’s power ballads. I dunno.

I happened to hear “Imperfections” on Radio 2 this morning and the presenter made a point of saying “do you know unless someone told me that was Celine Dion I wouldn’t have known as it sounds nothing like her.”

 

I can’t decide if it’s a problem or not. Céline’s general audience clearly aren’t moving with the times - they don’t stream etc - so perhaps all they want are 90’s power ballads. I dunno.

we absolutely can’t generalize like that. She is already touring with her old catalogue despite having a new album out. No fan wants this Edited by ryba
