What happened to Céline - Law?

Pepe.

I could be completely wrong but I think Law got sick or couldn’t work with her for some reason in early 2018 and that’s when he sent Sydney to work with Céline. Then Pepe became her stylist too before the 2018 tour and Céline didn’t need Law anymore.

What’s the connection of Sydney to Law?

I think she was his assistant or something. Again, I could be completely wrong.

Well, there was an article en route. And then COVID happened.

"I had been planning to write about Dion’s grand sartorial promenade, as part of a piece about the singer’s emergence, in recent years, as an unlikely high-fashion icon. But, as the coronavirus accelerated, the subject suddenly seemed very silly. I’d spoken to Dion’s stylists, Pepe Muñoz and Sydney Lopez, but the juicy details they gave me (that Dion, for instance, had dreamed up the feather hat at one in the morning the night before she wore it, and Muñoz had to send a frantic, wee-hour e-mail to milliner to get one in time) would have to wait."

Not exactly fashion, but I don't think Celine ever looked better than her recording sessions for D'elles

Good grief, can the woman have interests?

There might be people who think it's silly and unproductive to spend time posting on a singer's message board as well, but at the end of the day, it's none of their f'ing business, now is it?

Regarding the article, how would Celine be an unlikely fashion icon?

She is one of the wealthiest women on the planet and has always had a thing for clothes. She has always worn haut couture and she has is very skinny. Of course she was destined to become some sort of icon in that sense.

It still blows my mind that Celine Dion became a fashion icon. :)

Kinda yes, it was somehow funny in a way and sometimes a bit to much and scary what she is wearing, but I guess no one can ever win, it's a matter of taste anyway ;) Edited by ordinary fan

Is there a look or style or designer you all would really like to see Celine try?

A scandal at that time, lol.

I read somewhere that John Galliano mentioned that the look he created did not include the sunglasses Celine wore. Watching this video of Celine without sunglasses, I confess that it looks much better and gives it a young and sophisticated look.

This was probably her first iconic look.
