The obsession with this song is, frankly, embarrassing.

Just admit it you enjoy the "guilty pleasures"😂😂

Well, nothing is embarrassing if you are a die-hard fan....xx

I’m not obsessed, but I get it. It’s the most “Céline” ballad we’ve heard in ages. It’s even more Céline than “Ashes”!

I don’t know how people can judge this already, one way or another. I remember clearly back in the LMBTL days and they released a 30 second hq clip of “Always Be Your Girl”, thinking that it would be amazing, and then it released and I heard the final product only to be left extremely underwhelmed.

I’m not saying PMLALS, is great or horrible; people are treating a small snippet of not the best quality of clip like it’s the best thing Celine has done. The fact of the matter is, the jury is still out and if the song isn’t ever released ( which is a a fair possibility) it may always be out.

Exactly. I think that's where the fascination stems from.

Yes, it's just a clip of the song... but I think it's pretty apparent that this will be a soaring ballad.

So it has promise to be the most classic Celine Dion sounding song we've heard in a long time. (Apart from Ashes)

Is there a guarantee this will be a fantastic song? No. But it will be more in alignment with the songs Celine used to record during her heyday, which many of us crave.

We don't get many classic Celine songs anymore these days... now that Celine's so inspired by Sia.

By the way, I listened to the Celine Dion Pride 2021 playlist... and the Sia song Let's Love really demonstrated to me, once again, how much Celine's been inspired by her vocal deliveries.

This is one of these songs that you hear once and so small part of them, but never forget about them.

This is what I call The Celine "Journey" songs such as Call the man and other songs she recorded.

The "joke" will be that this one is the greatest among all the Courage songs, just my feelings.

Ever since I heard it, this song keep haunting me

In fact this is a song that has already become a classic among fans even though we only know a small excerpt.

I sincerely hope that it will be released soon and that it will be highlighted, as in a soundtrack or first single from a new album. We’ll see...

If this song isn't on Diane's upcoming album, that's a pretty clear sign we're not getting it. IMO. We already know it's not the Bond song. Unless there's some other random project, that was already in the works for a couple years, that just got pushed because of Covid, I'm not sure what else the song could be for.

Of course Irit's post is circumstantial and doesn't guarantee that it is on that album. But it's the closest clue we've seen regarding it in a while. When it wasn't on Courage or named as the Bond song I just figured it got cut. And left it at that.

I know some people are adamant it's not the case (even though we know nothing aside from the fact there's some kinda Celine collaboration and the name of one song from that clip). And yes, it's just a guess. But if anyone has anything else it could logically be for, cool. (I realize logical is a tall order on here....hahaha) And who knows, maybe she'll surprise us. But given recent history I'm not holding my breath for that. The only thing I can say is we'll find out soon enough.....whenever "soon" in Diane's camp happens to be lol.

Wasn't it clear that "Superwoman" is the one that's included in this Diane Warren's upcoming album?

"Play Me Like A Love Song" is obviously not part of it. I mean, the producers already said that it will come out soon. Irit and Humberto already confirmed that before. Humberto said that he doesn't know why Céline's team haven't released it yet. Obviously, they are saving it for the right moment. Maybe for the next single? Part of a collection? I don't think they will waste this one.

New English album? I think it's too early since again, they are still promoting the Courage album through touring. Courage World Tour is not yet cancelled.

I just went back through the posts...and I misread the Diane post. Totally my fault there. Looks like they're working on a musical or something there about Diane's career/life. Not entirely sure lol. Perhaps it's a song for the musical?? Doubtful but who really knows at this point.

Assuming Irit and Humberto weren't working on a song for Diane's album, I really have no clue what other project it could be for. They keep saying "soon" (just like Diane's camp is about that album - which is also partly why I made that connection) but for what purpose? That's the part that baffles me most.

Maybe it just didn't make the cut for Courage. And if she keeps delaying by saying "soon" maybe she thinks we'll eventually stop asking. 🤔 Or just forget about it. Oh well....it was a nice thought while it lasted.....

Edit to add to the above: unless I missed it, Irit removed the clip from her Insta account :(

Thank God it didn't made Courage....the song is a love ballad...would have ruined the album's theme.

Yet earlier you said the song "doesn't suit a soft love story." So which is it?

I don't think so. But I got the impression, initially, her collab album might have included a variety of writers and producers. So for a good bit there I thought it might have been a second song she recorded with Irit for the album (also after misinterpreting Irit's post about being involved another Diane project).

I got re-excited there for a bit but not anymore lol. Pretty sure it's not going anywhere at this point since Irit deleted the leaked clip from her Insta account.

It's a love song, it's obvious, but a love song more for some drama film, than a rom-com. It's a dramatic love song not a soft one.

I wish she can record another "Ashes" song. The songwriter did a great job.

Really? I think the complete opposite. I mean, I enjoy the song - she delivers it fantastically and the video is hysterical. But with lyrics like: "Can you use these tears to put out the fire in my soul? Cause I need you here...Oh." "OH???!!!!!!" THAT'S the rhyme - you're so lazy you just have the singer sing, "Oh?!" :sofunny:

I've always thought of this song the way Randy Jackson would always talk on American Idol about Celine songs - the songs themselves are mediocre; it's her delivery of the songs that elevate them to an iconic status.

Agreed!

Her best English song in a very long time.

Sounds like a Celine Dion song vs Celine trying to sound like somebody else… which has become the norm on her English albums for a while.

Yeah I think it’s one of the best song ever written in this modern era for ballads.

I like the melody of this song. I think based on reactions as well that they agreed it’s a great song. That’s why I want another Ashes for another movie. Another soundtrack.
