We don't even Know about PMLALS whether it is for Text For You or not.

Cuz Céline signed the acting contract on October 2020 whereas snippet of PMLALS is of June 2019 or something, isn't it weird? If it is really for Text For You, Céline has recorded it in 2019 or 2018.

I hope Avatar has a new song for Céline in store!! Fingers crossed!

thats what they could have done during the pandemic. If they released an album with unreleased songs,

and included the 3 Spector songs, this album would become a massive success if marketed properly. Imagine, she could do it like Mariah and corelease it with a new book, or even better, a long documentary focusing on her life after Rene and that project could be marketed as her homage and tribute to what she and Rene have accomplished together. That would be something!

Carole Bayer-Sager is super-old-school - not really the kind of writer I love for Céline, although I certainly wouldn't dispute she's written many great songs over the past ~50 years or so. Pairing her with a more contemporary writer like Myrin is an interesting combination, though - helps contemporize and temper her more schmalzy tendencies. I liked Don't Lie To Me a lot (although that was Myrin, not Bayer-Sager), and Play Me Like A Love Song sounds still sounds fantastic to me (at least the snippets we've heard!).

I would love a new album full of proper old school ballads like in the 90s It seems this is what people want from Celine. I wouldn’t mind a few very good uptempo gems as well, but they should only go for hit material here, no fillers Edited June 20, 2021 by ryba

Don't believe on these James Bond rumours till it is confirmed. Altho yes.Celine once said she wants to record a James Bond song when she was asked if Lovers Never Die is Bond song. She is always giving some hints

Makes me wonder if there's an album in the works! November residency, and November is the typical Sony release month for Céline. Hmmm.

It could be the second theme song for bond after billie eilish. They need to release a new song though as billie song has gone down hill when it comes to the viralbility

While I'd love it to happen and it would be great exposure (not to mention we'd finally get the song!), as usual I think everyone needs to manage their expectations when it comes to the Bond movie. The Bond production team has been much more focused on using contemporary chart acts for years now - probably the last time they used a less "current" act was Tina Turner - and Goldeneye was more than 25 years ago! Plus, despite the year's delay and the song being relatively over, the Billie Eilish song *is* the Bond theme for No Time To Die. I don't believe for a moment they're going to swap that out because the movie got delayed.

 

Sure, Céline is still active and releasing new music (as was Tina), but she's not in the same category or career stage as a Billie Eilish or a Sam Smith or an Adele. That's no reflection on Céline; simply an acknowledgement that she's now more of an established, old-school, veering-on-heritage act. Her image resurgence in the last five years has in some ways made her more relevant, so I'm not saying it's not possible she could be used in a Bond movie, but to my mind it's far from a likelihood.

 

I'd love to see Play Me Like A Love Song be the end credits music, though - like k.d. lang's Surrender or Patti LaBelle's original version of If You Asked Me To.

I doubt it. She won’t even release a video from a song on an album already released with a music video that was already shot.
