I am stunned....

 

This is so uplifting. It literally let's you fly.

 

Even if it is a dance single it carries such a strong message "I'm flying on my own...". After "Recovering" this line alone seems to be such a logical step.

 

And I totally agree with the hope that has already been mentioned here before: I hope this is her "Believe"!!!!

I love the snippet of the song! At the same time, it brings a tear to my eye. "I'm flying on my own," clearly speaks to the loss of Rene, as she embarks on this first major career move (Ending the Vegas residency) since his passing. Vegas was the last thing they created together, as Celine and Rene, so she's truly making career decisions on her own. I'm sure he'd be proud of her and thrilled to see her thriving as she is! I will say, the line, "I'm flying on my own, on the wings of your love" is truly beautiful. I wonder if they'll do a subdued, slower version of the song (like what they did with "A New Day Has Come."

I can see why they would want something like Fly on My Own, but for me it goes way too far.

I have nothing against the genre - but I don't want it from her. She's got such a beautiful, pristine instrument. I don't want it ruined with computer gimmickry.

And I like music done by musicians, not machines.

Surely the album will have plenty of tracks with “classic Celine”, that are wanted/expected of her and I adore.

 

Playing around with EDM and showing she can stay relevant on different group targets &/ music genres does not make me think less of her, but more, from an artistic point of view.

If she was curious to try it, she definitely has earned the right to do so.

 

And let’s not forget the sales and $$$; for all we know, she might even have been suggested to do so by the record label.

Madonna is just trying to hard to hold on to that promiscuous old sexy image of hers; that is irrelevant nowadays, in a world following bootie workout Instagram models and say it all standups etc.; and she had some okay trendy songs, she just pushed the line with the xxx attitude.

 

I feel your worries though, for sure there will be some voices saying she is trying too hard to act&sing a la 2019; those are just voices who have not followed her along the years, to see her goofyness, versatility and forward thinking; voices that know drama sells. And we get those all the time anyways, comes with the public image, so hit ignore in advance.

 

Call me a dreamer, but I do hope one day all that archive of theirs surfaces; be it at least a few ebay pricey recordings. One can dream...

i would really want more songs....sad , and happy, i love many genres. Blues, jazz , rock, pop.... But at this moment , Celine needs to be seen as someone who have overcome adversity with panache. I'm sure she's not 100 % happy , but she tries. She seems content , and that's alreaidy a great thing.

Some people think it’ll be out on Friday and she’ll sing at at Jimmy Kimmel....

 

A) she would’ve performed it today if that’s the case.

B ) she would’ve probably said single wil be it soon.

 

Who knows I HOPE I’m wrong, but I don’t think first single will be released until July-ish.
