Many female singers from Quebec recorded a song called 'Tu trouveras la paix' to raise money for Alzheimer. Its a old song from Renée Claude, a 79 years old singer very popular here that has the alzheimer.

 

Singers singing the song include : Celine Dion, Isabelle Boulay, Luce Dufault, Diane Dufresne, Louise Forestier, Marie-Élaine Thibert, Ariane Moffatt, Marie-Denise Pelletier, Ginette Reno, Laurence Jalbert and Catherine Major

 

Song will be release on March 8

· The song Tu Trouveras La Paix was originally performed by 79-year-old Renée Claude, a famous Quebec singer who is suffering of alzheimer and can no longer express herself nor even recognize her husband.

 

· Eleven female singers from Quebec will collaborate on this song: Isabelle Boulay, Céline Dion, Luce Default, Diane Dufresne, Louise Forestier, Laurence Jalbert, Catherine Major, Ariane Moffatt, Marie Denise Pelletier, Ginette Reno and Marie-Élaine Thibert.

 

· The song will be released this Friday, March 8th, International Women's Day.

 

· A music video will also be released this Friday. The video will show the eleven singers, piano player Julie Lamontagne, a chords section and a big choir of 40 young girls from 8 to 17 years old.

 

· Profits from this song will be destined to Fonds de la recherché sur la malady d'Alzheimer, from the CHUM Foundation.

I can admit her voice has changed a lot this last couple of years...but I still love it! She sounds here like on some songs from Encore un soir.

You need a great producer like JJG to have an amazing vocals. Céline’s voice is changing.. her voice sounds thinner Edited by jpatdeleon09

Too nasal, right? But don't worry, I highly doubt she'll sound like this on the upcoming English record. Remember how awful her voice sounds on the studio take of The Show Must Go On? But then came Encore Un Soir with its more polished production and we felt really glad.

I'm buying that song. Alzheimer research is important to me.

 

I love her voice now. I loved her voice before but when I listen to her older music I find myself preferring the current voice. I guess my ear changes along with Célines aging and her voice :hmm:

I also prefer her current mature voice. Maybe it's because I became a fan recently so this is the voice I'm more accustomed to hear.

After a while of listening to her older music and then listen to her more current stuff I get a feeling of like relaxation when I come back to her mature voice. Like, ah yes this is my Celine.

 

Can't wait to hear more of this song, and there's going to be a music video?

Yeah I feel that it's more relaxed now. When I listen to her older voice, I feel like she's trying to reach this perfection. Don't get me wrong, I love her old voice. But when listening to it, I find myself listening to see if she reaches that perfect note and I can't relax as much. I know it sounds weird.

But with her today voice, I'm purely enjoying her voice and the music. It makes me happy

Very wired and confusing. It's not the voice I'm used to hear. I think she wanted to single these lines like that. But she clearly could have sing with a different voici.

Not awful. Not bad. Not good.

But I don't like.

If I were Céline, I will stick to my older producers since they know her voice well like JJG, David Foster, etc.

 

Stick to classic Céline (reverb, voice blending with the instrumentals - i don’t know if you guys understand this, etc)

've heard this part, I did not see much difference, I did not realize it, she's singing soft and low, maybe the music is like this, I liked it.

 

Celine's voice has changed, of course, and we realize it more intensely when she sings her highest notes, she gets hoarse sometimes, I do not know why, if anyone understands the song, please explain.

here you go. She's looking good there. Also, i have no complaints since this clip and song is simply lovely. The fact that she's not in the studio make her appearance in the video stands out :-D

it is difficult to make justice to that song, Renée Claude was one one of our more selfless singer , always singing love and not going to be just popular. They did their best and it is great. Those singers were there for the good reasons.
