I feel like we won't ever see Celine back on stage regularly performing live. Perhaps a big, momentous appearance here and there as she's done since the Olympics.

Over the last few years, I've seen multiple public figures whom I admire have to retire/retreat for various reasons, and it feels the same with Celine. I'm at the acceptance stage.

I think it will depend on what you mean by how often? Will we ever see her perform 4 to 5 nights a week again I don’t think so. However, we could also consider “regularly performing” something like one to two nights a week in Vegas. Or something like 10 shows a year in Europe/Asia.

I personally believe it will be either a comeback in dime form to “regularly” performing OR she’ll stay away. She can’t lip her way through those various events, either she can or can’t perform think we’ll know soon.

I meant in general. I'd guess that even 1-2 nights a week would be too demanding for her. Of course, only she and her doctors know where the truth stands right now.

I imagine if she were capable of being a performer again and singing for audiences to her standards, she would've already been back. I have no doubt that--for now--she can do stuff like she did in Saudi Arabia. It feels like we're in a waiting game for medical breakthroughs that may take years or decade(s).

Very cool!

And maybe this is why she was in London.

But looks like the soundtrack is under UMG so think Sony would have to agree to “loan her out” for it.

““High in the Clouds” will also boast original songs written and composed by McCartney; Oscar winner Michael Giacchino (“Ratatouille, Up,” “Inside Out,” “Coco”) will score the feature. The original soundtrack is set to be released by Universal Music Group.”

I’m not sure how that works with Sony, but please allow her to do something… I would love a collab with Paul.

Here is a brief synopsis of the film, it’s interesting that maybe Celine could the “diva” character, sounds on brand with the SNL skit. Or Celine saves the town with music, interesting take of a story.

“A tale about the power of family and freedom of expression through music, “High in the Clouds” follows Wirral, a teenage squirrel who embarks on an extraordinary journey to set music free, after accidentally sparks a revolution against Gretsch, the bossy diva-owl who has banned all music from his town.”

Matthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall Inn

Did anyone notice someone left a comment on dee’s latest post insinuating her and celine are a couple? Found that a little random . Idk if the comment is still there or she deleted it but found that to be odd.

Random news:

1. Sadly, Michael Bolton has brain cancer.

2. Barbra Streisand will have a duet with Mariah Carey + Ariana Grande on her upcoming duets album. So no more of "Tell Him" being the exclusive modern Barbra diva duet

There's a vocal impressionist who's very popular online and has been on TV -- Sarah Schwab. She's done her version of Celine many times, and people in the comments are going wild for her impression. Not to be rude, but I think it's a bad caricature. I never understand when people get so much life from Celine singing impressions that are simply not accurate.

Watching this brought about a nostalgic feeling for something I never experienced live: the beautifully imperfect vocals and stripped-down versions of her repertoire. I would so be there for these kinds of moments, if she's ever up for it in the future. Even when struggling she still managed to deliver an emotional and authentic performance. I just miss her a little bit more now, In the meantime, I hope she's healing and thriving.

Céline’s video celebrating Ginette Reno on the occasion of her induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame:

Am I the only one who’s shocked that she didn’t record this video in French? This is about Ginette Reno after all…

CBC is an English language broadcaster I think? So I assume the entire tribute was in English.

Ahhh ok, that explains it! You are right, it stands for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, so yes.

Yes, CBC is the English broadcaster while Radio Canada is the French one.
