correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a part on the AND dvd, the Quebec/French verison where Celine is backstage after the show and RC calls her and asks what is taking her so long, that she'd been gone so long and wanted to know when she was coming home? And she said that was my son, he's never done that before. I really really want to find this clip and I can't. Do anyone know if its on youtube? I know I've saw it on there before but now I can't seem to find the right part of the dvd or the right clip.

It's right after the show when they are having the party "Le Girls Gone Wild" :) upstairs in her suite and right after they talk to Franco about the show and the missing shoes, she gets a call from RC and she says that and they leave :P

Found it. I do have a question though. When she's talking to Franco about not having her shoes, I don't remember in the premier seeing Titoff give her, her shoes on stage. Though its been years since I've watched the premier, I'd have to dig my tape out and watch it again but did that really happen? Or was it just something we didn't see? Because she says she asked the audience if anyone wore a size eight shoe and then Titoff brought her, her shoes and she said something else about it and people thought it was part of the show. :shrug:

 

I love it, I have the same Dolce and Gabana razor that Celine has and I have RC's guitar solo ringtone too! :whee:

I like the shoe part, it was funny! I guess its her way of interacting with the audience, even tho it wasn't on purpose. :)

 

Too bad i only wear US7.5! Celine is just soooo cute! Cute in a good way, that is. ^_^

What? I thought Opening night was? Justin Timberlakewas the host and was backstage and I do remember seeing Celine with no shoes on during the first song. :ermm: I have it on tape, I remember watching it and everyone talking about how it was opening night for AND....

Also I found this on her site, I tired to find the press release for it but I couldn't. It shows up on google but when you go to it it's a press release for tickets, this is what shows up on google though.

Opening night was on tv A New Day opening night 2003

Opening night was on March 25th 2003, the CBS special was recorded during a dress rehearsal on March 17th 2003 (approx), over a week before opening night. The footage of the performances shown on TV was from the rehearsal, the footage of Justin talking to Celine was from the real opening night.

then why did Justin and the announcer keep saying it was opening night? They are basically lying. What a sham! I really thought that was the real opening night. :glare:

Well I was there on the opening night.

 

Justin Timberlake was doing the interview and the intro on the opening night. Lots of people around him while he was doing the intro.. (I was around him hehe)

 

And there were TV cameras there. And they were careful not making people walk infront of them. But well I didn´t see it on TV since well I was not infront of it. But definetly TV cameras there.

 

And she lost the shoes, that was soooo funny :sofunny:

Non of the performance footage in the CBS special was from opening night. If you saw them filming the show, it was for the news and for Caesars billboard etc.

 

Here's an extract from a review from the CBS taping:

 

"A NEW DAY..." PREVIEW (03/17/2003) Celine had another great performance, everything went well and her voice was strong, powerful and full of emotion. I loved this performance and there is still more to come, It’s amazing to see that Franco dreamed all of this up, he is truly magnificent. When I left the building I noticed that there was a board that said you consent to letting CBS air any of the footage that will be taken.

Yeah I guess..

 

On new years eve 2003 there were also cameras but they were smaller. Big but smaller.

 

The ones on the opening night were definetly TV cameras but don´t remember if I saw a CBS logo on it hmm.

 

I also went to see the show after the opening night and there were no cameras then.

I think it was just such a big event and they needed it to go smoothly. There were plenty of things that could go wrong because it was opening night and they hadn't done it before without adding all the technical problems that could happen too. It's a shame because Celine looked better on the real night and sounded great but I can sort of see why they wanted to do it that way. I actually loved her hair spiked up like that, it was cooler than the boyish look she had during rehearsals.

yeah, well at least what Justin said was part true, he said that on the opening night that it was live :P

 

 

But ok one thing.

 

The show as to begin at 8 pm but we all got a letter that we should be there at 6 pm because of the live broadcast.

I think a part of it was live and part of it wasn´t

I have 'sur les plaines' and there are no subtitles. Maybe they changed that for the re-release though I don't know.

ugh I don´t get it why they don´t have english subtitles on the french stuff because of all her other fans who don´t speak french!

What I don't understand is why on Amazon.com the US site they have Sur Les Plaines but not The french verison of AND!! I want the Sur Les Plaines dvd for my bday, I'm going to see if my best friend will get it for me, or my dad. It's rather on the expensive side for a dvd, 34 dollars plus shipping and taxes so IDK if I'll get it. I wish it did have english subs though because I know like zero french, I know a few common words but not enough to understand a dvd that is completely in french without subs. :wallbash: Edited by Belle Céline
