To get to Céline's hometown, Charlemagne, you have to be in Montréal. There is a bridge to cross. You head in the direction of Repentigny (I'm not sure if it says Charlemagne). I'm really not good for directions but once you're in Repentigny, if you ask someone, I'm sure you'll find it. I'll tell you though, when you're coming, it's like the highway and then, you'll see a place on your right where it says ''Pizza Céline'', you know you're almost there. You continue going straight, and you will see the big earth ball thing in the middle. There's a light there and you can turn. You turn right, there's a grocery store (Metro is my memory is good)s and right in front of that grocery store, is a blue house, that's Céline's. There's a sign in front of it explaning that it's where Céline grew up. You'll be able to park in front of a bar, right where the ball is, like that, you'll be able to walk directly to both. I'm sorry if my directions aren't good... I don't drive yet and I went like over a year ago. You'll find it on google maps probably with better directions than me. You can always ask, I'm sure people will be happy to tell you how to get there. And yes, there is a Céline boulevard. I think that's the boulevard you arrive on when you get there. Sorry if it's not clear...

 

thank you for the reply! I actually can see where it is in google map...but the problem is I will just travel in Montreal so i don't have a car. I don't think there is public transportation. Sad...it might be very expensive if i ride on a taxi...

You can technically take the transit to Charlemagne (there's a fan who lives in the area, and she takes transit to get to school in downtown Montreal), so perhaps you can research it through Montreal's transit website "STM" http://www.stm.info/English/a-somm.htm

 

Charlemagne is about 1 hour away from downtown, so taxi would be at least $50 to go 1-way.

Better to rent a car if you can....

 

I've been to visit the town & Celine's mansion 4 times and know the directions very well, but it's the easiest to look up online!

Without new fans, we might have a harder time keeping her remembered and her music going and still fresh/relevant. It's sad to think this, but eventually the older fans, and I don't mean in age but in length of theere stay with her, might give out. If they do, you wonderful new fans are right there to take up the frount lines and keep things going and burning hot still. I love that.

You had heard of her before, but I think we take to things when we are ready for them. There's nothing wrong about this, it's just that for whatever reason, you weren't ready for her until now. I can relate to this, as it was not until last year that I became ready to hear her french music. I had to know what she was saying, and it was not until early last year right before the release of her documentary last year, that I was ready to hear her voice for itself and not the words. So things come in cycles, ebbs and flows, and it came when you were ready for her and the kind of feelings and love of her that she may stir in people. It's all okay and it's all in perfect timing. I'm just glad you're here now!!!

Your welcome! You're right, the taxi would be expensive and I don't think there is a bus (I'm not sure, I don't live in Montréal). It's reallly not far though. Maybe you could rent a car for a day. That shouldn't be expensive.

I'm ok about it all, but in one way I felt that I was really late in being a fan of Celine. I say that because when Delta Goodrem first come out, I was pretty much a fan since the start (When her album Inoccent eyes was released.)

I also read that. Yes it´s right, it´s special edition from Carrefour (they do this also about Johnny Hallyday and some other artists) and it seems it will be only in Carrefour in France.

Céline was in last weeks edition of La Semaine, it was an interview with her mother about Céline wanting more children. She says that Céline is not closing the door to more children, she'd like to have a girl. That's pretty much it. Nothing that we didn't know.

It is true that there is an unreleased version of I Want You To Need Me. I don't know about IWCT. We don't know whether that means there's an entirely different video, or if it's a different scene (think, Goodbye's (The Saddest Word)). I don't think the issue was I Want You To Need Me needing to be censored, rather than the fact that Rene probably didn't think the first version was good enough. (I don't think the second version is that great, myself.)

Yes I know all that of course, and yes they are all thin, but the woman has legs out of this world and an amazing figure, I just wondered if she works out with a trainer or else, she must just eat like a sparrow, I'm sorry I don't care who you are celebrity or not but once you hit your late 30s especially after having children your body needs much more attention. I've never seen her exercise with somebody in any footage I've ever watched so i gather she must be a light eater

 

 

Celine does not exercise and eats everything she want. She LOVES potato chips and eats a bag almost everyday. Celine's 2 favorite kinds are, Ketchup and salt and vinegar; i think she may have said dill also.

The one with René in the picture I think is Denise (Patrick's mother) and his second wife is called Anne-Renée (Manon Kirouac). She was a singer.
