She's now ranked 108th in the world! Great news!! Thank you for your hard work! I wonder where the USA stands as top listening locations? 1 Quote
george_matei Posted December 26, 2024 at 05:35 PM Posted December 26, 2024 at 05:35 PM Maybe these days she'll hit the 40M listeners and enter in the top 100 with a bit of luck. It will be just for us haha. Otherwise, with no promo her figures this Christmas are amazing!! OHN doubling its streams, from 30M to 60M in just one month... Maybe next year Sony will push OHN and HX(WIO) more. 6 Quote
blacktooth Posted December 26, 2024 at 11:23 PM Posted December 26, 2024 at 11:23 PM Amazing her ranking ! She even overtook Madonna who stands at #111. Is this the first time ?Yes she even surpassed Whitney Houston the other day. Sent from my CPH2059 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
mirage Posted December 27, 2024 at 12:21 AM Posted December 27, 2024 at 12:21 AM I believe Team Celine will take this seriously and promote her Christmas music even more next year. So OH and TP doing such great numbers has to do with that they have been added to the Christmas Hits playlist?! How does this work, Sony pays and choose the songs to be added? Let's hope they definitely notice that her Christmas music is something easy to promote and gain interest in Celine. Imagine what 'real' promotion would do with these numbers. I hope they keep promoting it. 2 Quote
Dreamy Posted December 27, 2024 at 09:05 AM Posted December 27, 2024 at 09:05 AM Thank you for sharing. Good job Impresive numbers, finally TAST is startin to get known for the general public, OHN is getting very good streamings. People have realised how epic this version is, the best thing is that people have discovered a treasure and now it will be a great classic for the world. Kisses everyone 1 Quote
LukeD Posted December 27, 2024 at 01:17 PM Posted December 27, 2024 at 01:17 PM (edited) The numbers are an incredible improvement, no doubt. However, there is scope for more. Just a reminder that 'Merry Christmas' (1994) by Mariah and TAST had sold an equal amount of copies when first released. To have MC reach 3 billion streams and TAST barely doing 1/6 of that is indicative that Team Celine needs to promote TAST more. As a physical seller, it proved to be a strong as MC. Why is not the same evident in streaming numbers? 'O Holy Night', 'Happy Christmas' and 'Christmas Eve' have massive potential. Edited December 27, 2024 at 01:17 PM by LukeD 5 Quote
Céline RO Posted December 27, 2024 at 03:29 PM Posted December 27, 2024 at 03:29 PM Blacktooth, thank you for all the work you do compiling these statistics and the beautiful way you present them! However, may I ask why “Les cloches du hameau” is not included in her ‘Top 10 French Songs’ list when it has more daily streams than many songs on there? 1 Quote The best is yet to come...
TommKat22 Posted December 27, 2024 at 07:50 PM Posted December 27, 2024 at 07:50 PM (edited) OHN charted at #46 in Ireland and #62 in the UK on their official singles charts! 🎉 Edited December 27, 2024 at 07:50 PM by TommKat22 6 Quote Tommy
TommKat22 Posted December 27, 2024 at 08:24 PM Posted December 27, 2024 at 08:24 PM (edited) TAST is also now Celine’s studio album with the most songs with over 10 million Spotify streams each (8). Half the album! FIY and D’eux are next with 7 songs with over 10 million streams. LTAL and ANDHC round out the top 5 with 6 songs over 10 million streams. Nmj Posted December 28, 2024 at 02:39 AM Posted December 28, 2024 at 02:39 AM (edited) Not odd that her monthly listeners is ha in into even after Christmas? I love it nonetheless, if her team was worth a crap, she would be probably have more than 100M. Edited December 28, 2024 at 02:44 AM by Nmj 1 Quote

Critiaslux Posted December 28, 2024 at 07:06 AM Posted December 28, 2024 at 07:06 AM Love on how Céline figures end so well this year end: ML listeners above Selena Gomes, Madonna, Whitney Houston, and improving her own ML ranking from #16ish to #105. Even if it shall be only for one day and is related solely to Xmas music, that’s great. Hope to Sony/her team will see there is room to even do better next year (even though if means certainly placement on playlists which has a cost and don’t know if Sony is ready for that investment, similarly as in the 90s where they did not invest much in radio payments with her contrary to some other artists. But let’s see and hope for the best ☺️) Amazing year already with SMHOF top 40 in the UK, and OHN charting. And there is still JIOTI next week in France for NYE 😉 4 Quote

I hope the new people keep listening and discovering all her songs. I am listening; Prayer, It's such an amazing song meaningful. Anyone know how the streams are? Best wishes to everyone Quote
Nmj Posted December 28, 2024 at 02:11 PM Posted December 28, 2024 at 02:11 PM (edited) Silly question maybe but how does Spotify actually gage the number of monthly listeners? How long do they have to listen to Celine for her number to grow? One song? The whole way they calculate this confuses me…? Also how long must one listen to a song for it to be considered a stream? 30 seconds or the full song? Edited December 28, 2024 at 02:13 PM by Nmj Quote
LukeD Posted December 28, 2024 at 10:34 PM Posted December 28, 2024 at 10:34 PM Hi everyone! I collected info on Celine's certified singles from the UKMIX Forum, Wikipedia, and a couple websites. Based on these and also considering that Celine is generally under-certified, I estimated the global sales of her English songs that sold at least 500k:Where does my heart beat now – 1m Beauty and the beast – 3m If you asked me to – 1m The power of love – 5m Misled – 0.5m Think Twice – 2.5m To love you more – 2.5m It’s all coming back to me now – 6m Because you loved me – 7m Falling into you – 0.5m All by myself – 3m Tell him – 2m My heart will go on – 16m Immortality – 2m I’m your angel – 3m O holy night – 1.5m The Prayer – 1.5m Happy Christmas (War Is Over) – 1.5m Ave Maria – 0.5m Don’t save it all for Christmas day – 0.5m That’s the way it is – 3m A new day has come – 2m I’m alive – 3.5m I surrender – 0.5m I drove all night – 1.5m Taking chances – 1m Alone – 0.5m How does a moment last forever – 0.5m Ashes – 2mThat's over 75m singles sales without counting her French catalogue and other English songs. I wouldn't be surprised if she's actually sold approximately 100m singles. LukeD Posted December 29, 2024 at 02:59 AM Posted December 29, 2024 at 02:59 AM (edited) I did the same for Mariah's catalogue:Vision of love – 1mLove takes time – 1.5mSomeday – 1mI don’t wanna cry – 1mEmotions – 2mCan’t let go – 1mMake it happen – 0.5mI’ll be there – 1.5mDreamlover – 2mHero – 5mWithout you – 4mEndless love – 2mAll I Want For Christmas Is You – 45mO holy night – 2mChristmas (baby please come home) – 2mSanta Claus is coming to town - 1mFantasy – 9mOne Sweet Day – 6mAlways be my baby – 7mHoney – 3mBreakdown – 0.5mMy All – 3.5mWhen you believe – 3mI still believe - 2mHeartbreaker – 3.5mThank God I found you – 1.5mAgainst all odds (take a look at me now) – 1mLoverboy – 1mI know what you want - 2mIt’s like that – 1mWe belong together – 8mShake it off – 3mDon’t forget about us – 2mTouch my body – 4mBye Bye – 1mObsessed – 5mI Want to know what love is – 0.5mUp out my face – 0.5mBeautiful – 3mThat is single sales of approximately 145m. I think the number is actually higher considering all other releases. 160m seems sensible for her. This makes me think Celine is doing very well, all things considered. However, there is scope for improvement if her team pushes her back catalogue more. Edited December 29, 2024 at 03:02 AM by LukeD Quote

LukeD Posted January 4, 2025 at 04:27 AM Posted January 4, 2025 at 04:27 AM I am sure 'J'irai ou tu iras' is eligible for a certification in France. I hope her certifications/sales in that market are updated at some point. Quote
