Last week I wasn't able to really hear it in its full potential, as I was only having my smartphone to listen to it. First thing I noticed was the weird effect on her face..

However - I have listened to it many times now on good speakers and esspecially on my sennheiser headphone. Wow wow wow what a soaring ballad. I don't know how it was for you but when the first refrain starts , with that airplane coming down, it is so emotional and beautiful. Also those strings that are coming in, making it a lush emotional moviesong that you would expect after a big hollywood blockbuster about a huge disaster..

 

Then the second part comes and unexpected a very feminine walking deadpool figure comes on stage. Very funny and totally unexpected. And from then on the video gets a hilarious side after that first emotional opening. And it ends even funnier with them both making funny comments.

But what really stands is that soaring voice of Celine. Celine and orchestra belong together, fit like a glove. Her voice is out of this world, it is not angelic, like some people say, but Celine has this enormous power in her voice and it is soo distinctive. Celine has a voice like nobody else has, this is Celine!

And when that first refrain comes and the strings come in and the timpan drums ( i guess) i get shivers all over when I hear her soaring Majestic vocals. Wow.. Celine is back and how!

 

Only complaint I have at this moment that it ends too early, it misses a bridge and possibly an octave higher last refrain ( like in many of her songs) in which she plays even more with that melody, that actually exists of a few chords, but these chords are so beautiful together..

I can wait for this new album when it is filled with amazing songs like these. Sure can!

 

I am also glad that the younger generations get to know Celine and see that there is more to admire besides Adele, Beyonce and Rihanna. I hope this is a new start for Celine to get even more international exposure and to bring back good quality music in the charts instead of many generic rap and r&b popsongs.

Just had a look at the Billboard Hot 100. Wow that is a list of trash music. Would be great if Céline could chart and put some class back in there!

Billboard said their chart is usually updated by 10am to reflect the current week. I am hopeful that this song will land on the Hot 100! I don't see xtina's song on the chart either, so I'm thinking it hasn't been updated yet.

Which is why I have always been against her material being blocked. They need to redo the contracts (assuming it’s a contracts issue - which I don’t think it is) to allow EVERYTHING be accessable to (at least) all the major markets.

Since Justin Timberlake promoted the title track of Trolls "Can't stop the feeling" in Eurovision couple of years ago... Wouldn't it be fantastic that they promoted Ashes this year and also Deadpool? After such a random video from Ryan... I wouldn't be surprised if that finally happens
